New Momentum vs Fischer FA-003? Which one is better in terms of sound only?

I would be very interested in a comparison between FA-003 TI and Momentum over ear? Has anyone both these cans?

Do you have both Momentum and SRH 1540?   How they sound in comparison?    I am very interested on this because I have Momentum and I am thinking to 'upgrade' to Shures. Is it really an improvement? How is the sound leakage?   Thanks!

It does NOT work with simple earphones. They should be noise cancelling ones.   And you are right, there is hardware support.

Try to format one card in windows 7 using FAT32, then copy x3.fw to it. Get the latest firmware (3.21).   If it still doesn't work that way, I think we can assume that there is something wrong with the X3, not with sd cards. So in that case, I would contact FiiO support.   Good luck!

I didn't said X5 dac is crap :) I said only that the differences between X3 and X5 are minimal. I mean you should really 'concentrate' to hear improvements in sound when listening to both side by side. It's my feeling after hearing both.

  I heard both (X3 and X5) many times and I can say for sure that the differences between the two are minimal (in terms of sound). On some tracks I liked more X3.   I didn't heard X1 so I cannot compare.

  I don't know how can you perceive a change in the sound signature, is really weird.   The sound is EXACTLY the same, and I have some good headphones....

I am very annoyed with all the Fiio's bugs. Great hardware, poor software. With the latest firmware, some flac files cannot be played, I don't know the reason.   Really disappointed about FiiO.

Momentum over-ear and IE-80...

  I have an X3 and for me the E12 doesn't add anything good to the sound. Maybe if the amp section of X1 is weaker, then E12 may help..   If you want an amp that also increase the sound quality (not just the volume) I would recommend JDS Labs C5 or something more expensive amps like ALO...
