The Audioquest marketing material refers to a goal of "a reasonably affordable cost." I'm all for that, because I think headphone pricing is insane. But I wonder what they mean by "reasonably affordable."

So I do conclude correctly that the connection on the headphone side of these is just a standard mini-plug; the same that you use to plug into, say, a smartphone? So it should be easy enough to custom build a standard balanced cable?
