Foobar does a great job for converting FLAC to AAC and I can tell you that I don't really notice a difference at all with JBL 2500 or Beyer DT 990 PRO 250ohms.

Open Cans Preffered.   Roland UA1G, currently do not have an amp but getting one soon.   It's connected via USB to my PC.   So far my music lib consists of FLAC files.   I like crisp and rich sounds. No heavy bass.   Not for use outdoors.
