Yamaha EPH-100
My pair just arrived. Yes, they are fake. Much lower quality than the originals I bought from Amazon years ago. The cable is thinner and is made of softer rubber, as are the tips. Since the softness of the fake tips renders them pretty much useless for me due to my large ear canals, I tried...- cannednoob

Yamaha EPH-100
Ok, so I like these so much I decided to purchase another pair. This time however, I resorted to ebay, and yes, a Chinese seller. I checked their feedback, and there are almost no complaints posted about any of their items being fake, which are all sold way below their msrp. Honestly, if they...- cannednoob

Yamaha EPH-100
Have yet to experience the RE400, but the EPH seem very well balanced. All frequencies are present and crystal clear. Bought my pair in july and have yet to run into any issues.- cannednoob

Yamaha EPH-100
One of the things which surprised me the most was how controlled the bass is. There's definitely a sufficient quantity of it, and yet, it manages not to interfere with the rest of the frequencies. I actually find the highs to be a little too up in my face on some tracks, though Im slowly getting...- cannednoob

[REVIEW] Sony MH1 – The Best Kept Secret
how can some of you guys put up with this horrendous cable? I tried wearing them over the ear and it was still screwing with the sound big time. The sound itself is decent, though.- cannednoob

VSonic GR07 Bass Edition Impressions
Thank you. Interesting. I dont find the punchy bass of the Yamahas overpowering, even when listening to bass oriented genres (dubstep, etc.) it seems rather well controlled. Im always interested in something which offers better clarity, so I'll definitely pick up the BEs sometime in the...- cannednoob

Yamaha EPH-100
Good to hear. Its funny how these things, being made out of metal, feel lighter than most of the crappy, cheap budz I own. I just can't get enough of 'em.- cannednoob

Can an Gr07 BE owner who also has experienced the Yamaha EPH100 do a quick comparison between the two? I'd imagine them to be quite similar to each other sound quality/signature wise.- cannednoob

SRH840 impression
Love the sound out of these things. Much more balanced than the Senns 380's I had before (though the Senns were quite fun with that boomy bass, as well) and overall more suitable for mixing. Anyone else find the headband a bit uncomfortable? It just feels like it puts too much pressure on...- cannednoob

Yamaha EPH-100
Just got these in the mail. They're blowing me away with their punchiness and separation. I just hope they dont eff up on me like they have on other users. Can be easily worn over-ear, due to their lightweight construction, so microphonics no longer seem to be as much of an issue as I initially...- cannednoob

over-ear headphones recommendations for mixing
Hi, just purchased the Senns HD380 Pro for mixing purposes. While being very comfortable, I can't say Im too happy with them sound wise. Im not sure whether its the broader soundstage or the boomy/slightly overpowering bass, but I cant seem to hear/make out all the frequencies clearly (which...- cannednoob
