Any reason not to get a Schiit Lyr/Bitfrost for HiFiMan HE-500

Would the Ember have the power to drive a set of HE-6's if I ever get a set?  I'm real interested in the Ember the more I look into it.

Any reason not to get a Schiit Lyr/Bitfrost for HiFiMan HE-500

Could you please elaborate?  Also what about the HE-500?  I dont own HE-6 so its a moot point right now.   Yes I have looked at the Project Ember.  What about it makes it easier to tube roll vs the Lyr?  (Sorry noob at this)   Any input on the Bitfrost?

Any reason not to get a Schiit Lyr/Bitfrost for HiFiMan HE-500

I'm looking at purchasing the Schiit Lyr/Bitfrost combo for my HiFiMan HE-500 cans.  This will be my main home rig and will be feeding signal from my music collection on my custom built PC tower.   I'm hoping the Lyr will be powerful enough that I would not have to upgrade down the road should...

Best upgrade from Denon D2000? (Looking at HE-500, HD650, AD2000X)

    Noob needs help choosing headphone

I really enjoyed the Crossfade LP for Dubstep tracks.  For the price I think they are great performers.  They may not be an audiophile headphone by any means but they are easy to drive and have a nice bump in the bass region that makes it fun on bass heavy stuff.

Sorry to bump an old thread but has this been solved?  Is it truly 50 posts before the 2 PM limit is lifted?  I looked through the rules and searched (how I found this thread) but I havent found a definitive answer.   Thanks!

Powerful portable amp needed that isn't the HiFi M8 required

Are you looking for a single amp/dac unit or is a stack acceptable?  If you can do the later the Fiio E17/E12 would suit you.  The E17 has an option to connect coaxial digital input and the E12 has a rated output of >880mv@32ohm.  Also what source and cans are you planning to use?
