Dita Audio Flagship - "The Dream"
I’m not quite certain how it is a click bait? I have spoken to the guys at Dita and this trade in upgrade scheme is something they would like to offer for the local crowd here in Singapore. Yes it is an offer limited to Singapore, and does not extend to international markets at this point in...- WCDchee

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Just foot the Sony wf-1000xm3, damn sounds much better than the sennheiser to my ears. Much more complete package with good ANC too!- WCDchee

Campfire - Solaris
So I’ve had the Solaris in for the past 5 days. The Solaris out of the box was nice. Balanced spacious sound but compared to other flagship favourites lacked some of the transparency and precision. At 50 hours it turned to crap, Bass was muddy and fat, stage closed in, transparency dropped a...- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I hope more people hear it soon. It’s precision, transparency, and physicality of image without resorting to thickness is outstanding and almost second to none. Super airy too for those classical lovers.- WCDchee

Campfire - Solaris
So I tried the Solaris at a couple of shops. I’m not sure if it’s a burn in problem, but they sounded different. They are after all pretty new. But one of the pairs I tried, I really liked. Ken has always gone for that ‘big’ sound and he definitely did it here.- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
The k10 has quantity. The Khan slams more impactfully when well driven despite less quantity. It is faster, snappier, and much more controlled. It has the better bass.- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
So I got to try some new hyped up flagships like the Sony IER-Z1R, the CA Solaris, Jomo trinity (brass). The Khan is personally an easy pick tonally and technically.- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I look forward to hearing your impressions. The dream, like the fourte, has one major “flaw”, in that it takes a lot to sound good. I’ve good some pretty good source gear at home and so it really sings but the truth is that most people don’t, and the dream and fourte kinda fall flat with that...- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I think you misunderstand me. You’re right, the way people describe things, you would expect earphones to have soundstages beyond stadiums. I think the Khan lies among the top of the pile at present. When I say that it’s a huge step up, I was comparing it to the previous flagships. I have...- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I previously used the noble blue cored tips. With the spiral dots vs that, it’s definitely smoother, and richer in the midrange. I think tonal balance to my ears is even better than the katanas. Using my focal solo6 be as a reference, the tonal balance is pretty close.- WCDchee

You are in for a real treat. These babies are top tier by all accounts. Huge, huge step up over the encore and katanas in every possible way.- WCDchee

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I’m currently using the Khan with the JVC spiral dot tips and the dita copper truth cable. I’m not sure if it’s the new pairing with the JVC spiral dot tips or the burn in, but the Khan is in NO way lean at present. It’s evenly balanced and the top is extended just as I would like, and is just...- WCDchee

SONY IER-Z1R
I think the z1r is a good sounding piece, very wide in stage, big sound and big impact, but was ultimately very forward and lacking in depth and height and overall space compared to the fourte. Where the fourte succeeds for me is in its ability to sound like the the space beyond the instruments...- WCDchee

Three Brand New Earphones: Sony IER-Z1R, IER-M9 and IER-M7
I don’t mind a forward sound sometimes, but the fourte despite being forward maintains an exceptional depth to the stage as well as transparency. The Sony to my ears does not. But you are right, preferences matter.- WCDchee

Three Brand New Earphones: Sony IER-Z1R, IER-M9 and IER-M7
Compared to the new noble Khan, the z1r was quite far away. It’s wider and has arguably bigger scale due to the tuning and bass quantity but the depth and height are lacking, making it very forward. Transparency, resolution, precision and imaging fall short of the noble as well.- WCDchee

SONY IER-Z1R
I just tried the z1r today and I must say that I’m disappointed. I was comparing it to the new noble Khan and quite frankly the Khan takes it in most ways. The Sony is very Wide, wider than the Khan, but it lacks the depth and height of the Khan. The Khan is also immediately and significantly...- WCDchee
