    Finally got the gear and interconnects to try out this Mini X He-500 project, I have a tried the HE-500 on my Woo WA6, and my Woo WA6 SE, The synergy with the Mini X is definitely better. This is a cheap alternative to dedicated headphone amps costing way more. 

Mine's dead quiet too, better have your amp checked.

The stand alone ODAC costs $149. What's your source?
