i have tried silicon,  i own a pair of sennheiser something sporty(cant remember the name atm) it really irritates me that i can hear my own breathing so loudly. to me its like putting your fingers in the ears, so im afraid thats not an option, i know in ear would be ideal for the purpose...

Hello there. Sorry for just bumping in. I want to ask if anyone have tried the dt 990 with a sound Blaster z? I am all new to this world of sound so haven't got any experience myself. Hope someone can help :-)

@purpleangel   i saw something you wrote in another threat about the dt990 wont work without an amp. The amp in the sound blaster z is that good enough or would you recommend something else? external maybe? what about an asus xonar dg and an external amp? To be honest im just making wild...
