So, does anyone know of any retailers currently carrying the non-mic version for the akg k3003 (basically non i version) in North American and if possible Canada?

The ie800s are what I would suggest as well... It provides an above average bass while providing clear detail (most of the time at least) fitting your sonic preferences. Also I'm pretty sure the klipsch x11s probably won't come close to the performance of an ie800.   I'm also not entirely sure...

Sorry to derail but isn't it extremely dangerous to use IEMs while riding a motorcycle...? I mean while using your IEM's you can't hear your surroundings and to me it just seems incredibly dangerous.

I've previously owned both the Bose QC15 and the AE2 which is basically what the AE2W is based off of and really like the AE2. I haven't heard any distortions from my ie800s, even with tracks that aren't of the best of quality and despite the volume. But as mentioned above you could list the tracks and I'd be glad to give them a listen to see if I hear the same sort of distortion.
