Sorry to have derailed the thread! I became irrational and worried that my TH600's from B&H were fakes.

Weird. My cable was wrapped in in foam. Other reviews do not mention the bag. Maybe they changed things?

Was this set of headphones supposed to come with a felt-like bag? Another thread mentioned that both the TH600 and TH900 were supposed to come with a fabric bag, but mine did not. I'm curious to hear what was in everyone else's box when they opened it.

So have these been compared by someone experienced with the TH-600?   Still, as a TH-600 owner I will still probably be getting one because I have a weak spot for wooden cups (without breaking the bank) after listening to several in Japan.

In case this helps anyone: I use the Schiit Vali with my AKG K712 Pro's and find them to be a great combination for the price.

I felt that the Schiit Vali played to the K712's strengths. That or it hit my own sweet spot.

I have to charge the headset as frequently as I do my controller. This makes me leave the PS4 in standby every four days after adapting. Oh yeah! It does have a customizable EQ through the headset app you can get from the PSN store and it has a very good mic. Granted...my Astro Mixamp 2011...

Bahahaha! Level 26 hunter. I can't wait to play more now that the newest patch is out. Sorry, I laugh because the hunter hasn't finished Venus and has never been to Mars in the story. It piggybacks on my friend's to get the bounties on those planets completed.

The Court of the Crimson King sounds amazing with these!   These are extremely comfortable as well.

The Matrix M-Stage HPA-2 (USB) is relatively new. Since people like the M-stage with AKG's 7xx's that amp/DAC might be a good combination.   I just found out about it while considering the M-Stage.

  I haven't heard the Q701's, but The K712's work extremely well for me with the Magni and the 2011 mixamp when gaming on a console.  Fun fact: the orange cable is more visible and I've tripped over it less.   I think the extra 3dB helped and I've looked, can't stop looking, at new headphones...

I use a Magni and I like it. Great little amp for music and gaming.

I found that that K712 sounded thinner through the mixamp than the X1. The listening experience was bland. The SBZ headphone amp seems to correct this for me. I have yet to try an amp to boost the mixamp. MLE's tread mentioned that Amos helped the Annies when used with the mixamp. The K712's...
