Advice on long interconnection - about 25 ft

Thanks for the replies everyone. I was just hoping that someone out there may have been in the same situation, and had a graceful solution. Apparently one doesn't exist. Unfortunately, I don't own a DAP and the room dimensions dictate that my large bed and desk remain on opposite walls. I'll...

Advice on long interconnection - about 25 ft

I currently listen to my headphones in bed, and my source is my PC on the other side of the room. What I'm doing now is running two fairly good quality mini to RCA adapters, and a 16 ft Monster cable RCA interconnect in the middle. Thus I feed my amp with this ~25 foot combination. I was playing...

    Grado SR60, SR80, or Sennheiser HD280

    Best "Fun" Cans?

FWIW, this is only my opinion. My taste in music is similar to yours - hard rock and all types of metal. My search for the most fun and engaging headphones for this type of music has lead me to Grado 325i. I used a 225/PA2v2 combo for over a year, and it was quite good, though in direct...

    I hate to wait...

My Hornet just arrived about 2 hours ago! It is wonderful, thanks Ray! I thought my PA2V2 had developed a slight imbalance between the left and right channels, shifting centered sounds slightly to the right. I wasn't sure, I thought maybe it was just my imagination, but the Hornet proves it...

    I hate to wait...

I'm waiting also for a Hornet from this upcoming batch. I don't mind waiting, though, since I would rather wait on something I truly want, versus receiving something sooner and compromising on what I want.

Are the Grado SR 125/225 the best headphones for me?

I received my 225s about a week and a half ago. I must say after about 40 hours of burn in I'm loving these phones. I tried MS1's but they were too bright in the upper mids for my tastes, almost as if they were trying to make Grado sound more like Sennheiser, and they lacked bass Out of the box...

    New Head-Fi'er, needs advice, blahblahblah...

Thank you very much for the advice! I feel much more confident about making a purchase now. Plus now I know if I find I made a bad decision, I can probably sell them for a reasonable price in the FS area of these awesome forums. Note to self: keep the box and receipt from this purchase.

    New Head-Fi'er, needs advice, blahblahblah...

I'm relatively new to the forums, and needed some advice on some new headphones. Before I begin, I received my PA2V2 a week or two ago, so I do at least have a small amp, and my favorite genre is rock/metal. Anyways, here's the story as short as I can make it. My first quality headphones were...

What are some good Digital Cameras?

I recently did a TON of digital camera researching for the past holiday season. I came to the conclusion that Canon and Casio make excellent cameras which also use standard memory cards. For $200 or less, I picked up a Kodak Z730 for my sister. Good quality pics, especially for the price...
