th900 is a very noticeable improvement on the highs over the d7000s, imaging seems a bit better and the bass isnt as powerful, but is smoother and more clear.  no experience with the th600, was hoping the th600 was the d7000 with some minor improvements, looks like i could be wrong about that. 

Can the th600 earcups be removed, and can lawton/martin custom cups made for the d7000 be put onto the th600 without any issues?

  Cowon portable music players have a really crazy great equalizer, you can get a lot more bass out of the J3 for example than you can an ipod, the x3 or even the new dx50 by a long shot. The J3 and the other players from that company like it are the best choice for bass heads or anyone else...

Post Firmware made it sound less bloomed in the midrange, more smooth and less in your face in terms of forwardness.  Still very forward, but I am fairly positive that everything was pushed back a tad.

  Scale up to 10, hiss is a 2 even on High Gain.  Its only just hardly audible to me.  The X3 has more hiss, as does my Studio V and J3.  The DX50 is very quiet and has no popping or added noise toggling up through the gain modes in a paused track.  Excellent Performance.
