REVIEW: The Stunning McIntosh D100
Yes. Use the variable outs and you can control the volume with the remote. I would also look at some of the "pro" models which allow you to use a balanced cable.- Zebra

WA3 vs WA6
I recently read a review in Tone where the reviewer powered a pair of Rethm speakers from the headphone output of a WA3 and was pleased with the result. Does anyone know if the WA6 or WA6SE would be able to perform the same task?- Zebra

Headroom Home innards
I also had one of these and was very fond of the stock sound. I would doubt that the cost and time involved in upgrading would be well spent. You would be better off building a new amp based on one of the more modern designs or just buying a new Headroom amp.- Zebra

Upgrade to Old Max or HA-2?
Thanks for all the responses. Just to update everyone, the Max that I was trying to buy was just sold to someone else. However, I am still unsure what I would so if it was still available. It would be nice to listen to an HA-2 to compare it to the Max, but the Max is definitely a...- Zebra

I have the opportunity to upgrade my OLD Headroom Home to an OLD Max for $300, but I am now wondering if I would be better off selling my HR Home and purchasing the Corda HA-2. Any opinions? Thanks- Zebra

Coolest car you have ever driven/ridden in?
Probably the Mercedes-Benz E500, much of the manufacturing was actually performed by Porsche. Only available in Black. The BMW M3 (E-30, the boxy boy racer body style) is the best handling car I have ever driven and a close second to the E500 for "coolness".- Zebra

The DTR 5.2 is a direct relative of the predecessor to the Onkyo TX-SR 600 which is reported to have some power delivery issues. Check out Hometheaterforum.com for a full report on the situation. In the world of receivers I would recommend you take a close look at the Marantz products starting... -

Micro Integrated Drive or Headroom Home?
The Headroom Home is the older version and not maxed out. I am concerned that if I go with the MID I will miss-out on the crossfeed on the Home and that if I go with the Home I will miss-out on the power and quality on the MID. Kelly, from your comments it sounds like you would go with...- Zebra
