Loud static noise when using turntable.
Hi. Not so long ago I made a poorly written and ignored thread about my 70's HiFi System called the Dux Sound Project ZU7 66RH891 (possibly made by Philips in 1971). So far enjoying it, but it's having some issues with a very low pitched static noise and I started noticing it even more, and it...- ProximaCentauri

Sound Project ZU7
Hi. Not so long ago I purchased a Dux Sound Project ZU7 (manufactured in Sweden in 1971 I believe) for dirt cheap, and I know not much about about this HiFi equipment because of the lack of information about it on the internet. It has a Shure M75MB Type 2 Cartridge. I've seen people reffering to...- ProximaCentauri

Recommend me a DAC!
You're demanding quite the DAC. I would love to help you, but does it really need the turn off function when you connect your headphones?- ProximaCentauri

Turntable forum?
I was more looking forward to ask about my specific cartridge and it's weight, because I can't find ANYTHING about it on the internet and perhaps someone on head-fi has the same cartridge and knows the required weight.- ProximaCentauri

Hi. I've wanted to start a thread about my turntable and ask a couple of questions, and on which part of head-fi can I do it? High-end forum? Thanks for your advice.- ProximaCentauri

How do I setup a turntable to work with headphones properly?
Quote: At a price of...? I'm at a really low budget if it comes to that. Do you think Media Markt would have pre-amplifiers?- ProximaCentauri

Quote: And I've seen people use a RCA to 3,5mm adapter to get computer speakers working with a turntable so I know that will work.- ProximaCentauri

How do I setup a turntable to work with headphones properly?
Oh yeah, deffinatelly. I live in the city Gothenburg in Sweden, and blocket.se is a really nice site to visit. I've sern a lot of TD 166 MKII's popping up lately, even a Rega Planar 2 (which looks stunning), some SL1200's but they're out of my price range.- ProximaCentauri

Forgot to mention I have an RCA (or whatever the white and red cables are called) to 3,5mm adapter, so I can use the speakers.- ProximaCentauri

How do I setup a turntable to work with headphones properly?
I live in Sweden and hifi headphone gear is rare to find locally at all here. I've looked up the AT-LP120 up in the past, the only way to get it was through amazon/ebay and pay just as much for the delivery as for the turntable. Perhaps I could use my crappy 60$ speakers with a volume...- ProximaCentauri

How do I setup a turntable to work with headphones properly?
To start off, I would like to apologize if I'm making a thread that has already been done. I've been looking for for stuff, found all the required stuff like a turntable and a preamp, and now I'm wondering, can I hook up my headphones to the preamp using RCA to female 3,5 or whatever I would...- ProximaCentauri

AKG K240 Studio No sound in left ear-cup
I actually tried blowing out any dust, but it didn't help. You know when you plug in headphones and you hear the noise? (THUD THUD THUD) I hear that only in the right ear too. I tried it on multiple divices with the same result. I don't have a possible way of trying the 6,3mm adapter atm.- ProximaCentauri

AKG K240 Studio No sound in left ear-cup
Hello, head-fi members. I am quite new to the forums and this will be my first thread. So to the point, I purchased a pair of K240S on the 26th of May, this year. They've been doing great, no problems with them at all, but today, something rather strange happened, the sound on the left ear-cup...- ProximaCentauri

ATH M-50 vs BeyerDynamics Custom One Pro vs V-Moda 100
Quote: Not really, wouldn't recommend any kind of amp for headphones under 50ohm. Unless, of course you want a better DAC, something like a Fiio wouldn't be bad, but still not recommending it.- ProximaCentauri
