Aune T1 USB Tube DAC+ SS Amp Discussion Thread ***See first post for FAQ--Updated on 02/14/15***

I got mine and sounds great for acoustics, indy rock songs but.... Anyone got advice on how to EQ this device on osx?    I normally used sound flower and au labs but doing the same setup with the aune doesn't work. I managed to get something to work by making a aggregate device in apple midi...

Aune T1 USB Tube DAC+ SS Amp Discussion Thread ***See first post for FAQ--Updated on 02/14/15***

Looking at getting a DAC/Amp combo and the Aune T1 is on my list.   My headphones are PSB M4U1's and believe they will benefit from a amp. Tried a small 'Hippo' amp and with the bass boost on the headphones have the extra bass I was after. Quality was about the same as only playing a 256 mp3...

Desktop Amp/DAC (+ Bass Boost) for PSB M4U1?

Hmmm OK, I guess that makes sense. Just weird that even slight changes in the EQ makes things sounds like ****. Were are the bass boost on the Hippo was different.   Was using the built in EQ in Vox but also had the same results in using the one in Clementine.   I guess if I was to use...

Desktop Amp/DAC (+ Bass Boost) for PSB M4U1?

I've tried using the built in software EQ (and yes I understand how to use it) but it just always ends up distorted, will this change with a DAC/Amp? Just a bit cautious hence why the idea of a hardware EQ/bass boost.

Desktop Amp/DAC (+ Bass Boost) for PSB M4U1?

Recently got a set of PSB M4U1 and now after a amp to improve it.   I use a iMac playing flac files via VOX. So I believe my best call is to get not just a amp but also a dac. Dosen't need to be portable so hopefully that should save some money vs portable ones.   Went to 'Jaben Audio'...

What next from SRH440? Require more bass and possible amp in the future! Your knowledge is welcomed within :)

Tried a small amp today (Hippo CriCri Headphone Amplifier) at 'Jaben Audio' with bass boost and heaps better :) Also compared the DT770 (only had the 250Ohms) with the same small amp and I recon the M4U1 was better overall.   I will post up a another thread in the amp section but was looking...

What next from SRH440? Require more bass and possible amp in the future! Your knowledge is welcomed within :)

Got the M4U1's. They sounds even better everywhere compared to the SRH440's. I did try the DT770 80ohm and they seem to not sound as good as the M4U1's in the highs and mid's.   Still light on the bass for me (I must be a bass head?). All the bass is there and sounds prefect (but lots better...

Quote:   The 32ohm is unavailable from that site so have to be 250 or 80. Would love to here why you recommend these and why you say these compared to my current SRH440 or anything else suggested.      Quote:   Yep seen now that the PSB's are not to common here, but like you...

What next from SRH440? Require more bass and possible amp in the future! Your knowledge is welcomed within :)

I wasn't even looking into the PSB M4U1 but I am now! I will research so more but from what I see that look like a very good contender even if at the upper range I was looking at spending. Not 100% sure on the whole amp thing yet so not requiring a amp to sound great is a even better plus...

Posted another thread but didn't get a reply so after some more research just would some of your knowledgeable opinions :) Decided I want to swap my new SRH440 (yay trail period) for something better. Highs and mids are great (acoustic, alternative rock) but I feel it is lacking with the lows...

Swap or not? Currently have SRH440

Hi Guys,   Been browsing for a while and finally took the plunge on getting some better headphones from my old/cheap and now dog eaten AGK K321 iem's. I picked closed headphones over another iem for comfort and closed design for use at work (a must!). I researched what good closed...
