Has anyone had the problem when using the Sony MDR-NC8 noise cancelling headphones on a iPod Shuffle? Basically when I turn up the volume the sound gets distorted for some reason. Other headphones work fine but just these NC8 have a problem.

If I listen to the headphones carefully I noticed that the left speaker cancellels more sounds than the right one. I have the MDR-NC8 and also I notced that when I have alot of sound normaly I would hear a difference when covering the mic and not covering but for the right speaker I seem to not...

Is the Sony MDR-NC8 have better noise cancellation to take away just the mid sounds like around 300hz or does the Sony MDR-NC7 take away the 300hz sounds better? Basically the jet engine sounds or so. Just comparing the two since I' am in a budget and also I do like Sony headphones.

I found a Sony MDR-NC7 on sale at Kmart and I was wondering that is this better than the newer NC8 model from Sony? The NC7 was for $35 and normaly it was $50.  Well actualy it was a clearance item since it was discontinued model the NC7 is.

I did wonder about this but is the Shure SE215 an upgraded version of the SE210? Does the newer model sound better overall?

I noticed this lately but how come stores like Best Buy or Target or NFM don't carry the Sony earbuds that are higher end ones like the XBA series? They don't even carry the MDR-EX210B. They only carry the $20 one that is the MDR-EX37B. I wanted to try the XBA 1 or 2 and see how they sound but...
