Sony budget earphone discussion thread (MH750, MH755, MH1C, EX300, etc)

I have 8x mh755 and none of them were faulty. However, when I recabled/MMCX modded them, one of earpieces had a cold solder joint and the cable just fell off. So still can recable them.

That sounds interesting. I havent sold my yet, bause damn, these sound just too good for the price. For me the stock pads sound the best also! I tried many other pads, but all were inferior. Maybe I should try the Sendy Aiva pads. Do you have a link for the Sendy Aiva pads? Google doesnt spit...

    Takstar HF 580 Planar Headphones

I'm going to sell mine. I dont like how hollow they sound. Something about them doesnt sound right to me, I think its the mids. A real shame since the soundquality is superb and they sound really clear and detailed.

I agree with Zeos here, the HF-580 sounds veiled. I wish we could fix that. I wish MrSpeakers would do, what they did to the t50rp. :gs1000smile:

I thinking about creating an 3D printed mounting adapter for bigger pads. Like the one I modified for the HE-500: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3234520 This way we could have more space for the ears, more choice regarding pads, better fit, and maybe ultimately better sounding. Bigger Pads =...

Do the aliexpress pads that you linked change the sound? It really seems that the chinese hybrids lower 2k-4k by to much. The headphone sounds to dark imo compared to my he-500.

First impression with the chinese HM5 hybrids pads: Darker than my HE-500 and more subbass. The soundstage is smaller. I dont know if I like it. Need more impressions

Stimuz after some time passed with the 580, how do you rate them against the Aiva now? Especially interested in the clarity and treble. Is the Aiva soundwise much better?

In my experience its not very easy to cable mod planars, because the drivers are that big. But I would try it anyway :)

I asked on aliexpress also, got this answer: thanks for your inquiry, sorry we are not sure if it is the same driver units as the Sendy Aiva is using, the factory has not wrote what's driver it is , it is Ultra-large planar diaphragm headphone. best regards

HiFiman HE-500 (HE as in High End) Proving to be an enjoyable experience in listening.

Im currently using a 64€ FX Audio X6 to power my HE-500. Works great! The knob on 13 clock is painful loud already, you also can mod the Amp with two jumpers, to gain even more power.

iBasso IT01 a fun IEM. Single multilayered graphene driver. !! 99 USD !!

Received my IT01 today, but a tad to much bass for my liking (standard ear tips), soundwise very close to a DT990/DT770 imo. Clear sound, resolution comes close to my HE-500. Good value. Top tier comfort for me. Any tips recommendation to tame the bass?

Someone has an Idea where to buy the iBasso t01 in germany? From ibasso.com the price $120, which is with tax $142 in the end. Another shop has it for 120€ which is to expensive also and is way over my budget.

I just cant decide which iems to get :triportsad: I really want something that goes in the direction of a HE-500 soundwise. KZ ZS6 - I am afraid these could be to bright for me. TRN V20 - Not enough information, sound Interesting tho. FEN-2000 - Cable is very thin, I really dont like that Am...
