That's true. Considering apple charges roughly $200 for upgrading from 16gb to 128gb model in iPod touch, the price of 128gb cf mod is quite reasonable. Granted it also costs your own time and the risk of damaging your own iPod. My music library is about the size of 30gb, consisting of flac...

Yeah. I also know the 128gb limit. I am currently running it with a 128gb cf card with very stable performance. Normal hard drive consumes about 500 ma of current while the most efficient msata ssd, the Samsung p871 consumes about 700ma. Hence I just stuck with CF card mod.

Hi. Concerning flash mod of fat 6th generation classic 160GB, I am glad to report that I have made a breakthrough if I am the first one who have experimented this. Since yours is 80gb model, unfortunately it is the 6th generation. 7th Generation is either 120 Gb or 160Gb.  According to the main page, it only supports up to 128gb flash drive on apple's original firmware. If using rock box, 512gb can be supported.

No. I had tried to restore my 32gb CF card mod ipod mini which was Windows formatted using my Mac iTunes. It displayed exactly the symptom as yours, endless rebooting and restoring. I eventually gave up and using my Windows PC iTunes to restore it with no problem. Hope this helps.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Sound Quality

I don't agree with you in that snapdragon version note 4 is using the integrated dac on the soc. Because the integrated dac would not support ambient OK google voice command. That ambient mic always on feature is only possible with the discrete wolfson wm5110 dac. If you search for the wolfson...

    Sony PHA-1 Review and Impressions

As far as I know Apple has eliminated analogue signal from the 8-pined lightening port. Therefore the signal out of the lightening is absolutely digital. Presumably the digital signal to pha-1 has bypasses ipods' internal DAC.
