What is going on over at Ultimate Ears???

I guess that was just a scare, I just tried the triplefi and the bass is working again. If it lasts for a few more hours, I'll edit my previous post to save UE from bad PR.

What is going on over at Ultimate Ears???

Update: They seem to be working. I guess it was just a bad cable connection.

    And for trance/d'n'b/rock music?

The triplefi is comfortable but a bit bulky(sticks out), you will not be able to sleep with them on. I like the tripfi and although I haven't heard the se530, I would only recommend them if you listen to a lot of bass heavy genres or if you prefer a minimal earphone profile.

Triple fi 10's died after 1 hour use! (I'm almost dying too)

Should be, I bought my old super.fi 5 pro from amazon.com(US version) and they accepted the receipt.

What is going on over at Ultimate Ears???

It took about a week and a half since I sent them, but I just got my triplefi back from UE. They sent a brand new one on a 2 day fedex shipment even though the one I returned was missing a few accessories. I am not sure how fast other companies respond but UE has been good to me so far.

MP-3 users, don't you regret going into "audiphile" relams ?

Yeah, I was in a similar situation about a year ago. I have since switched to FLAC. The disappointing part is that there are very few FLAC online stores. I haven't found any that sells mainstream tracks.

Orpheus on sale at audiogon - only $35K - hurry!

Only 35k? Are they the grand daddy of headphones? I could buy a decent car for 35k.

In Ear Monitors: Love or Hate?

I love my IEMs, Great sound while tuning the world out, what's there to not like?

    Best IEM for $300.

The UE triplefi10 pro is great for it's price range. You might have to spend slightly more than $300 though.

    Jays q-jays brief review

Sound Highs: The q-jays have analytical and silky sweet highs, fortunately they are not enough to cause sibilance on tracks that emphasize them. Mids: The mids are a bit recessed and laid back, causing them to seem overshadowed by the highs on some tracks. Lows: The bass is balanced and...

What is going on over at Ultimate Ears???

Well that's odd. My triple fi's housing cracked about a week ago. I sent an email and promptly received a response(with RMA number and shipping information) within 24hrs. I sent the earphone to UE about 3 days ago.

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

I cringe at the thought of stepping on them, maybe I got really unlucky. I'll call UE sometime today, it is still within the 2 year warranty and I have all of the accessories(no packaging), so I am optimistic that it will be replaced.

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

I am very disappointed with UE's build quality. My triplefi 10 pro cracked its housing earlier today. Keep in mind that it was in my pocket the entire time, and I didn't place any large objects over it. I had a similar problem with my old superfi 5 pro(numerous complaints made UE replace all...

What are you hoping for at CES 2008?

I am hoping for an iaudio x7 with 40+Hr battery life, 80+gb hard drive, excellent SQ, 2.5inch or better screen, supports flac, ogg, xvid, and other audio and video formats, high res screen and a nice and sleek form factor. I can only dream

I am now sure that every cent I spent in audio was 100% worth

Skull candy? I didn't know they made audiophile quality headphones. Anyway, I suggest the Koss ksc75, Creative EP-630 and the Sennheiser PX 100 for your $5- $50 range. EDIT: Posted 2mins late

    This forum is pure evil.

Well the "motto" stands, I stumbled unto this forum while searching for decent headphones 0-$50 range. It all started with the px100... ...a year later, I have gone through the px100, ep630, ksc75, iM716, e4c, superfi 5pro. It doesn't end there, I have an order of the new UE Triplefi 10pro...

    How is Koss KSC75

So if you turn the volume control to max, it will sound identical to the regular ksc 75?

    How is Koss KSC75

I checked too, and it is not on their website. I guess you'll have to visit your local circuit city to find out.

    How is Koss KSC75

If you have the extra cash then I would recommend a closed headphone. It would reduce the outside noise, and help you listen at safer levels.

    Help! A super.fi5 nightmare

Call UE, they should be able to sort it out if you are within the warranty. I have had mine break 3 times on me. I am currently waiting for the 3rd RMA to return.
