Just got my pair today.    My impressions are the same as the first time I heard them.   Never heard an IEM with so many layers of detail in the highs while maintaining such musicality... This was until I heard the ANDROMEDA.   They sound pretty good with Plenue S and AK380 to my ears...

Well, without galvanic isolation I would also expect Hugo 2 to perform similar to Hugo ON COMPUTERS.   But since I'll use it more with my Astell&Kern's and Walkman's, I only have high hopes for Hugo 2 to outperform the old and out-dated Hugo :D

That Chinese-made Sabre Matrix DAC just doesn't sound good, let alone sounding anywhere close to the level of Hugo. Have faith in Chord, my bro.

How does the C Flow sound with Hugo?

Hey guys. I'm thinking about selling my Edition X V2 to get a Ether C Flow.   Have anyone tried pairing the C Flow with Hugo or Continental Dual-Mono? Feedbacks?

Might I expect the filters to still function in DAC-only mode?   I'm planning to try out my amps and use the Hugo 2 as a reference DAC

I've tried the Sonotone 5719, came out a bit looser in bass to me. Haven't tried the Mullard though. Heard it's hard to find.

As a Hugo user myself, I have the same impressions as you have. Hugo lacks the capability to drive headphones with authority and provide large scale dynamics for orchestral music to my ears. It's not to say that Hugo lacks power, as it's been discussed countless times that Hugo is pretty...

I think it's best for Chord to know they've enraged their Mojo and Hugo customers with refreshing new products within two years and with that retail price for an accessory.   Love you guys, but c'mon. I think it's best for Chord to know that we are different from their old high-end customers...
