Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD
Actually that's not saying very much because you haven't specified what makes him unsatisfied with the Plenue D. Furthermore the comparison is pending and there aren't any conclusions and final thoughts on the differences between the products.- JungleApe

Shanling M1: An iPod Nano Competitor / DAP || USB DAC || USB Transport || Bluetooth 4.0 + aptX || DSD
Since Shanling is a pretty user friendly and attentive manufacturer i don't see any reason why they shouldn't have an EQ on board of the new M1. The little thing seems like it catched the flow of current electronics as the specs indicate so i would be relaxed and look forward to get it in my hands.- JungleApe

hi im here looking for recommendations for a good bassy pc speaker
The JBL is rather neutral but has an option to tune the sound on the backpanel. Though the bassperformance is superb and very clean! What is your current setup? Do you have a DAC/Interface? Otherwise you could connect the Speakers with your mainboard/soundcard using the given terminations...- JungleApe

hi im here looking for recommendations for a good bassy pc speaker
I would go with an active speaker pair. Those usually offer a possibility to tune them via Potis at the backside. My recommendation is the LSR305 combined with a Bluetooth Dongle. This Setup is pretty good and should fit your pricerange.- JungleApe

I would suggest (recommend) the pleather pads over the Velour ones. They might kill the bass.- JungleApe

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Personally i wouldn't pair the TH-X00 with any Tube AMP since they tend to sound a little warmer than normal Amplifiers which might result in an overly-thick fundamental tone. Stuff like the Objective O2 or the Magni/Modi Combo is a good choice IMHO- JungleApe

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
Try the connectors of Ranko/Rankq Audio. They are f.e. available on Aliexpress. Got them for my MSR-7 and those are solid and nicely built with decent looks. Kind regards, Ape- JungleApe

Definitley a low impedance DAP. They are not really hard to drive so a Clip+ or similar Models should do it.- JungleApe

Fostex x Massdrop TH-X00 Review
@Whitigir Well personally i don't believe in "cable-sound" and haven't heard of any scientific proof. I tried already a whole lotta cables ranging from 30€ to 1500€ (blindly). I wasn't able to tell a difference and don't know any reason why a manufacturer should make their headphones sound...- JungleApe

@oopeteroo Personally i think those confrontational "questions" are rather pointless since the most important aspect about a headphone is if the signature fits your personal taste. Try a bunch of headphones out and pick the one which suits best. But hey, just my two cents.- JungleApe
