Creative Sound Blaster new series Z, Zx & ZxR
Nope just using the low gain option. The warning labels on the high gain option deterred me from trying it out, should i try that out? The sound is great so i am not complaining, I just made the comment since others have mentioned it in the thread.- lwhitit

Creative Sound Blaster new series Z, Zx & ZxR
Purchased the ZXR two weeks ago and have loved it so far. Huge improvement over my previous setup and the surround sound effects work really well. I couldn't hear any difference connecting my HD650s to the ACM vs direct to the card but I am not an audiophile by any means going to try and a modi...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Just wanted to give an update on my issue with the headband. I have a pretty short hair cut and an oval head so it was causing discomfort on the crown of my head (leaving tender red mark) after about 20 minutes of use. I thought i just needed to break these in so I gave it about a week. Once i...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: It was worth a shot but nothing happened to my arm during the test. I did wipe the band down to make sure. I really think it just takes time to loosen the band up to mold to my head. I have sometime tonight to play so I will see how it goes and post a pic of the spot if it comes...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: Thanks. I think it just needs some time for the band to mold to my head. Last night I wore it for a bit without any comfort issues but when I checked the mirror I had the same red patch on the crown of my head. I have another 10 days to test these babies out so we will see...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: Leather has not bothered me in the past but my headphone experience is pretty limited (HD598s) vs headsets (ax720, x41, px5, A40 wired and wireless, A50, PC360) so I cant rule anything out. Quote: I will try that out, but I hope I dont have to resort to that as a...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Quote: Same thing here, pressure on the crown of the head but no where else. I started moving it around and i am keeping it on my headphone stand hoping the shape will change a little to rest comfortably on my head. Quote: No sweat at all but it does make my very short...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Thanks for the advice guys. I am not allergic to leather it is just the band rests the weight on a small spot on my head. MLE I do want to try out the bumps just to see how bad it is now. After posting i tried to tighten the headphones so more of the band would rest on my head and didnt...- lwhitit

AKG K702 65th Anniversary Edition
Hi all, #650 checking in, per MLE recommendation for gaming I took the plunge on the Annies and the sound has been wonderful but... Has anyone else had any discomfort with the headband? I have worn them for a few days and where the band rests on my head I get a red spot a little bigger...- lwhitit
