Focal Clear Mg Review & Measurements
These look indeed absolutely stunning. Even better than Stellias and Utopias imho. Thought I'd never go past the 1000€ mark for headphones but now I'm starting to question myself ...- JesusCrew

Not at all @mashuto, I was responding to OhmsClaws message, which was a bit of a personal attack that doesn't bring anything to the debate - JesusCrew

Campfire Dorado 2020
Constructive opinions should always be welcome on a "hobby" forum. I, personally, do enjoy his reviews, even though I do not always agree with him (both my Campfire IEM and Focal headphones are rated C and I like them). I would, on the contrary, be wary of all the sponsored reviews that tend to...- JesusCrew

Campfire Dorado 2020
This is indeed worrisome. Getting both your first units defective means there must be a bad batch, else you are incredibly unlucky. I'll make sure to ask the question to CA when I order during Black Friday !- JesusCrew

Campfire Dorado 2020
Thank you for the share ! I am still waiting for some more reviews comparing Dorado and Vega atm, notably Crinacle (love his reviews). In Europe, they are priced 999 and 1299€ respectively which makes it a tough choice being on a "tight" budget. Really looking forward to enjoy some awesome...- JesusCrew

Hopefully that is not a flaw in its design, as this would mean mandatory product recalls. Unlucky for you anyway :/- JesusCrew

Campfire Dorado 2020
Thank you for your insights @mashuto ! Would you say the Dorados fit well for electronic music ? Specifically some ambient/drone pieces, and techno, hence the need of a good quality sub-bass. The Vega 2020 might be a little more pronounced in that regard, so i'm still unsure about which one to pick.- JesusCrew

Hyla Audio TE-5B & TE-5T Impressions Thread
Thank you for your response ! I'll look into a used Hyla TE5B or Campfire Audio Atlas then. I considered the Vantage given Crinacle's relatively good ranking (B ; over the Nemesis), and being relatively new to the hobby I am still very dependable on other people's opinions. Also, living in...- JesusCrew

Hyla Audio TE-5B & TE-5T Impressions Thread
Does the EE Vantage address this issue ? Just checked Crin's graph database between the two, and the Vantage doesn't seem to have this peak around 8khz. As @Cuebbing , I am looking for an IEM dedicated to Electronica (Techno/Ambient/Aphex Twin/Alva Noto etc.) and movie OST, hence bass is really...- JesusCrew

Alright, I'll make sure to demo both. Btw, Fever Ray's leading vocal reminds me Björk a lot. Enjoyed it a lot ! Oh, and I shared an ambient-drone Spotify playlist earlier in the thread, I've a feeling you might like it ;-) @davidmolliere Well, I've seen the Vega, Atlas and Andromeda on Son &...- JesusCrew

I've read that the JVC Spiral Dots tips were very nice on the Atlas. Anyway, still waiting for a French distributor to get the Solaris. Would really like to give it a try along with its bassy counterparts. Jorja Smith's Blue Lights should be a good choice for testing them, wonderful album...- JesusCrew

My primary concern was about the fit of the Atlas, which could be quite problematic given my small ears. I was at first really drawn to the Vega form factor (small, discrete). And given the (awesome) pictures of @ExpatinJapan, oh boy those Atlas seem like baby boys in comparison with the Solaris...- JesusCrew

I'll definitely wait for some more in-depth reviews of the Solaris. I've got 2 months before buying so that should be enough. Already checked on the A12t, which seems well suited to my tastes, but is way to expensive for my student wallet .. ;-( Anyways, considering myself as a borderline...- JesusCrew

Thanks a lot, dude. I'll try to demo both Atlas and Vega, and make up my mind then. From what I've read lately, they seem better suited for electronic music than the Solaris. Fit will be a deciding factor between the two. Cheers !- JesusCrew

Campfire - Solaris
How do these fare with electronic music ? Still debating with myself on which IEM I should get. Granted that I value a bass (clean, fast, detailed) that wouldnt bleed over mids. I'm leaning towards Vega atm, Atlas seems too difficult with the fitting and I fear that Solaris might be too big...- JesusCrew

Ahah indeed :) Yeah I'm in Paris too. Avid vinyl collector here, which is also a very time consuming and expensive hobby when you like to dig the rarities ! Cher Molière, fellow Parisian, Can't wait for your first impressions. As an apprentice audiophile, I've been saving up a bit lately, in order to get my very first TOTL IEM. The WS99/WS77 PG 57..
Thanks Bill. Looks like it's going to be WS99 for me, but I'd have liked to give a try first..! An add to my previous post : this is one of the best live techno set I've ever heard. I could use some of the WS99's "Solid Bass" on this :D Try it in 1080p, it sounds rather nice for a...- JesusCrew
