The current version is very stable (2.05?), has never crashed or hung up on me. It was hard at first as the X3 didn't want to recognize the card, but after the format (accessed from the settings menu) it worked perfectly, simply drag and drop files to the card. You can listen by playlist, album...

For me, my glasses aren't so much a problem as the weight of the HE-500 is.   As for most comfortable headphone I've ever owned, Shure SRH-1840, hands down.

Either turn off WASAPI, or just exit Foobar when you want to watch Youtube. That's what I do.   I believe that you can also just stop the music (not pause, stop) and it'll suspend the WASAPI output.

I disagree. I have both and the HE-500 is my perfect headphone. The M50's? Not so much. Plus it has a lot of siblilance for me.

Anything wrong with the sound? 16/44.1 is 95% sufficient for most people. If you REALLY want better music, go download some from HDTracks or Linn.

V-Moda M100. I personally thought the M50's were very bassy, but also very overpowering for me. With the M100, the bass was definitely there but everything else was as well.

Are you seriously asking if you need a dac for your $1,500 headphones? Yes, yes you do. And while you're at it, get an amp too. 

Budget? Portable or home use? What is your source (e.g. Computer, iPod, CD player)? Open or closed (open leaks sound, and lets sound in)? What music you listen to?
