STAX SR-007 (Omega II) ... A Review After 4 Years Of Ownership
Leave it to a headfier to take a fairly simple concept, and write pages of gargled mouth fodder. Still, a very artistic take of the otherwise rudimentary logic necessary to come to your conclusions.- thebrockelley

Fiio E18
It's up there with the E12, so it also could be around the time Samsung releases the Galaxy S4 and Note 4; but hey, that's just me making assumptions, hopefully though :)- thebrockelley

Describing Sound - A Glossary
Could you explain to me what the phrase, " the highs SHIMMER more with these cans more than those"? Someone was comparing the v moda m100s to some other more audiophilic cans.- thebrockelley

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
I've been told if you use an otg cable you will bypass the DAC..won't be double amping with the Galaxy Note 2 or s3 variant. I ordered a special Micro A to mini B 0TG cable from a Chinaman on eBay. He has a 3000k+ positive rep Power and it was only $5 WITH shipping. Just a fyi- thebrockelley

V-MODA M-100: Discussion/Feedback, Reviews, Pics, etc.
Have you done a comparison of soundstage with amped and un amped M100s? I know people say its 'wider' and 'deeper', but here I see you stating instrument specific location cues and even the direction of the instruments sounds transverse to those locations.. Is there anyway you could do that for...- thebrockelley

Samsung Galaxy S3 to DAC - USB Micro-B male to Mini-B male??
Don't know if your answer has already been answered, but if you need a Micro-A to Mini-B USB OTG, I know of someone who can sell you some from China. It's going to take me a couple weeks to get them, but he only charges like $4.00, $5.00 with shipping and I live in Wisconsin. Here's the address...- thebrockelley

Samsung Galaxy S3 to DAC - USB Micro-B male to Mini-B male??
Are you saying that with the Galaxy S3 and Note 2, a standard Micro usb to mini usb could be used to get audio through an amp? Or, would we still need an OTG variant?- thebrockelley

FiiO E07K ANDES Review and Help Thread
Oh I see, Then it is my bad. And, no I hadn't actually tried it, but I did find it confirmed from some forum other than this one, and I talked to a few folks around the web and at Geek Squad, and they also confirmed that what I said should work. I don't understand why people with the Note...- thebrockelley

Android phones and USB DACs
I have headphones, an amp with a mini usb port, and a phone with a micro usb port. Besides the obvious 3.5 mm cable to go from the headphones to the amp, is there anything else I would need besides a micro to mini usb cord? Using a Galaxy Note 2, a ViiO E07K, my V-Moda M-100 heaadphones and...- thebrockelley

[Impression] FiiO E07K ‘Andes’
Hello, I'm new to this forum, so I don't really know the rules. I was wondering if I could use the mini USB port to connect to my micro USB port in my Samsung Galaxy Note 2? I am asking because I feel it would bypass the internal DAC of my phone and allow for better sound through my V-moda...- thebrockelley

FiiO E07K ANDES Review and Help Thread
Mega Ultra Super Bump for this. I have a galaxy note 2 and I think the only way to use the DAC from FiiO and not the one built into the phone, would be to rig it like this: FiiO E07K<---- mini usb~micro usb---->Samsung Note 2 (S3 variant)<---- audio out. And, like I said, bump.- thebrockelley

I hate to post jack but I am in a very similar situation. I also have a bass head oriented set of cans the V-Moda m100 Crossfades, would you say what goes for OP goes for me as well? Given the restraints are the same.. Money isn't a variable though- thebrockelley
