After thinking about it for a week, I actually ended up buying FiiO BTR3k and replacement 3.5mm jack for my Phonaks. I soldered new jack in and it works like new!

Thanks but I don't want to be carrying an extra brick with me, hence why I just want bluetooth iems. If I am to stick to cable I might as well fix my phonaks.

Hello again. I got my HTC One M8 and I did measure the output impedance of it.   The output impedance of HTC ONE M8 Sim Free UK version is 1.02 ohm.   Just to make sure, I also did measure my O2 amplifier and the result I got was about the same as the ones that can be found on the internet...

I've contacted HTC through their live chat. The guy spent almost half an hour trying to find it's output impedance but he couldn't. He only told me he found on the internet that it's about 9ohms but it's not an official spec. If I will get this phone, I will measure it myself and post here.

Yes. I don't understand it myself but it can't be helped. I don't mind paying taxes but £8 royalmail fee is way too much, especially when the tax itself is £3.

I did order from them 3 or 4 times and got taxed only once. The only way to avoid taxes is to get lucky.

I wonder one thing. Why C3/C3a/C5/C5a is said to be 63V or even more? There is no more than 12/19VDC on that line. I used 25V capacitors and they're doing the job. Nothing has exploded yet.

The benefit of using external DAC and AMP is that it bypass S3's ones. If you enjoy music straight out of S3 then you don't need a DAC. For your earphones I would suggest you to get standard external amp such as Fiio E5 or something similar. That is because S3's output impedance is 3.5ohm...

For RMAA tests I used 33ohm resistors as a load. C1, C3, C5 and C6 that I am using are 220uF.   So if the C2 and C4 are not my problem, then what is?   Tomorrow I will make another RMAA test with 300ohm load (since this is what my HD600 are) and see if I will get the same result.

I heard every headphones you named on Odac and o2 and they all do very well. For mainstreamam music i think I will recommend hd650 for you. Lcd2 are also a great choice of you can spend more money. I don't think you will like hd800. About he500... I just don't like these headphones... Remember...

Can't say much about the pot except that it is 50k stereo. I think that the crosstalk may be caused  by the cable mess in the case.
