I've tried swapping the cable round and its always the right side that don't work?

1 side of my he500 stoped working, the sound seemed to be a bit one sided then it stoped working all together? Has anyone else had this problem? Also is there anywhere in the uk it can be sent for repair?

I would like to buy wood cups for my dt770's but can seem to find them anywhere, I like the look of the darth buyers but don't want to pay that sort of price for a full headphone, also would enjoy the fact of making them myself? If that's too much of a proble can you still get thunderpants kits...

I've just brought a pair of hd580s and there is a possibility that one of the drivers is broken... Is there anywhere in the uk you can buy them?

I've asked him and he reacon a it's fixable, hopefully just an internal fuse maybe more? Cos he's in the is he said to ask the main uk distributor of which there willing to give it a go... Fingers crossed

I accidentally pluged my headphone amp into 220v and it made a wierd hum now isn't working, does anyone know what the problem mite be or what mite be broken and if it's fixable?

I just got a schiit lyr to pair with my he-500, but also goin to use some d2000 and some grados with it, I've heard due to their sensivity you will need a 100ohm adapter... I'm a bit new to this but willing to try so has anyone got a step by step guide or any advice on which risistors to use etc?

I've read somewhere on these forums that you can make a 100ohm low impadance adapter, does anyone have a guide of how to make one and which resistors to use?

I've just brought a schiit lyr to pair with he-500, my question is how well will the schiit lyr work with grados sr225 or also denon d2000? Will I have to make a impedance adaptor or they pair ok? Ben

Cheers I'm all new to this so geting my bearings. One more thing then, when I try to fix the broken headphones should able to check if there's a loose wire along the cable via the jak plug before I take anything apart?

Thanks for the quick reply, Well I get a reading of 62 from both the left and the right on the custom, it's mogami 2893 used with my hd 25. Just out of curiosity i checked the right(ring) to left(tip) and got a reading of 124, should that happen?

Why when I test a stock cable in my headphones my multimeter beeps and shows the ohms but when I test my custom cables it shows the ohms but doesn't beep? Sorry if its a silly question but It started when I was going to buy some faulty headphones as a project to fix so I wanted to get to grips...

I was wondering if anyone could help, I've got both the hd650 and d2000 to use with my little dot mk3. My question is which gain setting would be suitable for both headphones so I wouldn't have to change it every time I want to use either ither phones?
