Review by 'OneRhythm' on item 'Sennheiser HD 439 Headphones'

First of all, I am by no means, a critical audiophile with a trained ear, so don't expect this review to have an in-depth breakdown of the sound.  I'm merely a college student that enjoys listening to my music.  I have had the Sennheiser HD 439 for four months and here's my review:   For its...

    Sennheisser HD 439

I also own the HD 439, and I also experience the creaking when I move it around, so I would say that it's normal.  It shouldn't be a bother since you won't hear it when you are listening to your music, so don't think about it too much.

    Recommendations for ~$100 closed headphones?

I listen through them unamped through my iTouch and laptop all the time.  In my opinion, they are great all around casual headphones (according to my ears), however, if you are strictly a basshead, than there might be better options that will satisfy your needs.  They are also EXTREMELY...

Just bought Bose AE-2 for $99.

The Sennheiser HD439 are also very comfortable.  I also own the Ultrasone Pro 750 and the UE 6000, and the Sennheiser HD439 is easily less lighter and much more comfortable than both.  Of course the same could not be said for sound quality (Though the HD 439 is not that far from UE 6000 in...

Just bought Bose AE-2 for $99.

Sennheiser HD 439.  I believe they are currently on sale at Best Buy for $80 and they are definitely a better alternative to the Bose AE-2.

Best headphone for travel and home use? (100-250$)

I believe the UE 6000 has what you're looking for.  The bass should definitely satisfy you especially if you flip on Active Noise Cancelling (More like Bass Boosting), but you can also listen on passive mode without any batteries.  Also, the cable is detachable and they can fold which makes...

    KRK KNS 8400

What about the UE 6000?  I find that they are great closed all-around headphones for multiple genres of music, especially when you consider its price ($199).  They are supposedly "noise cancelling" but the noise cancelling feature is definitely a bass booster rather than actual noise...

A Man With a terrible problem....

How about the AKG K550?  I hear that they are easily driven, sound pretty good unamped so it should be fine with a PSP, and of course, the price just falls under your budget.

Songs that make your headphone WOOOOOW!!!

Anything by nExow sounds so heavenly.  Also, anything by Lemongrass is soothing.

    Need Help Finding Headphones

I'd say the UE6000.  Plus, there is probably a bestbuy or apple store near you that may carry it so that you may try it out.

Missed the Ultrasone Pro 750 for $161 this morning on Amazon... Now what?

Maybe they might drop back to $161 later on today... 2 days ago, they were as low as $179 and Yesterday the Pro 750 was at $161 when I checked them out in the morning, But about 2 hours later, they jumped back to $225 and I was bummed out I missed a great deal. However the price dropped back to...

    Help Me Decide !

I am also in the same situation you are and I am also looking for the same features you mentioned.  My top candidates as of right now, are the Ultrasone DJ1 Pro/Pro 550 and the Brainwavz HM5 so I would also recommend those for you to check out.  Keep in mind, I do not own either of them, but...

Headphone noob looking to buy my first headphones,

I have still not locked in to anything yet. My plan is to fully make up my mind when I'm completely done with my Finals in the upcoming week. As for my current top candidate, I was initially going to lock-in between on either the UE6000 or the AKG167, until zzs1229 came along and mentioned the...

Headphone noob looking to buy my first headphones,

So far, from what I've learned, I what have to give the edge to the UE6000.  It appears to me that the HD-25 is not full sized and I've heard reviewers and some video reviewers claim that the UE6000 sounds better than the M-50 so based on what I've learned so far, I'm really leaning towards the...

Headphone noob looking to buy my first headphones,

TTNK, and StyleElements, thanks for the suggestions! So far, I have two candidates, the Sennheiser hd 25-ii and the UE6000.  I just briefly looked them up and apparently they're just about the same price.  Anyone else want to weigh in on the headphones?  Also, I would love to hear more...

Headphone noob looking to buy my first headphones,

Hey everyone, I've been listening to generic iPod earbuds for a while now, and it is certainly time for me to get some quality sounding headphones.  However, I am specifically looking for closed headphones that have great portability and durability as I plan to use the headphones for both home...
