I'm having trouble with the connection between my amp and the NW-A50 as it keeps cutting out after a couple of minutes. I've checked the amp on the old iPod and it's fine but that uses a cable from the iPod charging socket to the amp's 3.5mm. Does anyone know where I could get something similar...

Gutted about the closure although not that surprised. So it turns out the battery in my 4G is fine - seen as the problem only started when I switched DAP I put the arrow back on the iPod and it works fine. Current best guess is that it the arrow doesn't like the 3.5mm to 3.5mm I've been using...

Yeah I was desperate for the isolation when I got them as my desk was near a load of really chatty people at work! Admittedly I still love the sound and when you add base to those mids on a good vocal dnb track they're incredible.

Was thinking that myself but have absolutely no clue about electrics! Does the arrow use a common one / can it be done easily (for someone who knows what they're doing) or would have to be returned to Robert?

Cheers Taffy,    That's pretty much my thoughts about needing to try them on, especially as this will be my first pair of overear phones. Based on my local shop has it's going to come down to a test between the Momentum 2 Over Ear, the P7's and also possibly the Denon ahmm400.

I've got 535s with a 4G and as much as I'm tempted by the 3G for the extra bass I don't think I could cope without treble boost at 1. I tried listening without it for an hour and the moment I switched it back on I realised how much I like it! Think I'm just going to wait and hope a future...

Just wondering, have you had chance to compare the star tips to the other shure tips yet on the 535's? I've been using the triple flange recently, mainly for convenience vs the olives but I also prefer the sound. I'd be very interested in the star tips if they gave similar benefits with less ear...

You could try the headphone company. I've not used them yet myself but saw them advertised on here and I think they have them.

Lol! Unrepentantly guilty on that front... My own fault for going for isolation over sq when I brought my iem's. Based on what everyone has said, the 3G bass boost inside a 4G would be my amp nirvana.

Would have loved to try the 3G for exactly that reason. I was hoping the next upgrade would add more punch to the bass boost without any other major changes. Really like the treble boost so not sure which I'd have gone for if I had the choice.
