Amp recommendations needed for Fostex / Massdrop T-X0
Just got the MD/ Fostex T-X0 planar Magnetics and they are power hungry. My Leckertron UHA6 just can’t give them enough power. Looking to spend less than $300. Browsed the Schiit website but didn’t know if I should go tube or not. Thanks in advance!- ProblemChild

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
Thanks for all the suggestions guys....Especially James-UK. Even though it is indeed a first world problem, I feel like the cables are just not flexible. I'll give em a good soak in some Nivea and report back.- ProblemChild

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
I just got the HD650's and I absolutely hate the cable. It is too long and very stiff. Also, the 1/4" plug means that I have to use the adapter for pretty much everything I have. Any recommendations for a decent replacement cable that doesnt cost as much as the headphones themselves? Thanks in...- ProblemChild

Jonsein' for a new pair of headphones...What should I get?
Gonna order a new pair of headphones this weekend. Might at as well take advantage of the memorial day sales. What I should I get? I listen to rock and alt. rock primarily. I do like my bass but not crazy mudd low. I already have DT770 Pro's and Pioneer HDJ-2000. I use the Leckerton UHA-6sMkII...- ProblemChild

New Leckerton uha-6s mkii has arrived....Not loud enough!?!?!
I wasn't happy with the audio quality of the e17. I don't know what it was but I just felt like it wasnt right. I do understand how impedance works but I didn't realize how much power the DT770s would require. They sounded good with the Leckerton but there still wasn't alot of headroom so I...- ProblemChild

Workout / Gym / Running
Bose MIE2i /end thread. Best headphones I have ever used for working/running/jogging/weightlifting and anything really. These things will not fall out and are very comfortable. They sound pretty damn good too. Worth the money IMHO.- ProblemChild

Portable amp and/or dac for DT 770
I recently tried the same combo and felt that the DT770s needed more power. I ended up selling the E17. I bought lekerton uha-6s mk.II and there still isnt enough headroom. The 250ohm is alot to drive. Looks like i may do some more amp shopping...- ProblemChild

New Leckerton uha-6s mkii has arrived....Not loud enough!?!?!
Quote: Wow..The Pioneer's impedance is 36 ohms and that makes all the difference in the world with the Leckerton. Now, with the gain off, I can crank the volume to max and they are quite loud. If I use the gain switch, I can only turn the volume up to 55% or so. The Leckerton really does...- ProblemChild

New Leckerton uha-6s mkii has arrived....Not loud enough!?!?!
Ended up getting a sweet deal on some Pioneer HDJ-2000 cans so I'm going to give em a try this weekend. Maybe the lower ohm impedance will give me some additional headroom.- ProblemChild

New Leckerton uha-6s mkii has arrived....Not loud enough!?!?!
Im thinking of ordering the Shure SRH940's to see how the Leckerton does with a lower impedance. I would just like some more headroom as well. Even with the 18db Gain boost on, I max out my DT770 Pro's easily.- ProblemChild

New Leckerton uha-6s mkii has arrived....Not loud enough!?!?!
I decided to sell my FiiO E17 and upgrade to the Leckerton uha-6s mkii to power my DT770 Pro 250ohm cans. With the 18db gain on, my volume levels nearly approach, too loud at max volume. The lower end of the dial is to quiet. Is it my headphones just being too difficult to drive with a USB...- ProblemChild

What is the best USB powered Amp/DAC available?
Update: I ended up ordering the Leckerton UHA-6S.MKII with the OPA209AID. Im expecting this to be a nice upgrade from the Fiio E17 but not sure it will be the end all be all. Hopefully Im wrong. It would be nice to just settle in with the Leckerton and start enjoying some music again! I feel...- ProblemChild

What is the best USB powered Amp/DAC available?
I'm looking to upgrade from the Fiio E17 but there are a lot of options. My budget is $400 max. Is there a definitive go to? Not quite reference quality but in that realm. My one requirement is that I want it to be USB powered. I like the portability of the E17. It's makes listening on my laptop...- ProblemChild

Fiio E17 + BeyerDynamic DT770 Pro 250 Ohms = Great. Would adding the Fiio E09 Headphone Amplifier make my setup better?
xStreame, with 32ohm drivers, Im not sure the E09k will make a big difference for you. The E17 should drive your phones adequately.- ProblemChild
