Looking for Over Ear Headphones for wife, ~$50 or so.

The Koss ProDJ 100 may be worth looking into.  You can usually find them at around 50 bucks on amazon and I don't own them, but my friend has some and I think they sound great for the price, but the thing that blew me away was the construction.  All aluminum, so they probably won't break any...

    Hello

Egg-crate shaped mattress topper foam might work for improving the sound of a room as it will both scatter as well as absorb incoming sound, but if you're looking for something smaller it might not work.  Just make sure it is open-cell foam that is pretty soft and it should work okay.

Best option for me now (<£20)?

I recently picked up some Mee M6's (about 16 pounds on Amazon) and I think they're pretty great for the price.  They are a bit bass-heavy for me but that makes them good for EDM.  They also have had no problem coming out of my ears, and come with tons of eartips so you should be able to find...

Looking for super durable over-ear headphones that sound great and can survive abuse

Sennheiser Momentum might be a good choice, I haven't heard a whole lot about the durability but the build quality is really good.  They are also really easy to drive, sound great, are portable, and are look good without being too flashy.  They also come with a hard case.   Link...

    Headphone Repair help

Im not sure what your problem is then. You could recable them, that would probably fix them. I had a similar problem and I never found out what the problem was but it fixed it.

Audio Newbie: Help decide between ...

I wouldn't suggest the sennheiser's or the audio technica's as they are both open and wouldnt be suited well to using in public places. Your phone probably won't be powerful enough to drive the sennheisers anyway.

Can portable DAC/Amps charge and exchange data simultaneously?

I'm pretty sure that the Fiio can charge and be used at the same time-- the only input for the DAC functionality is the USB port- the same as the charger.  It also says it can charge from your PC, so I assume you can do both.

    In need of sage advice

Take a look at the Koss ProDJ100.  They're around 50 bucks on Amazon and I've only heard good things about them.  My friend has some and I've only been able to listen to them once, and I thought they sounded great, but the thing that impressed me the most was the build quality.  They're pretty...

    Grado & Glasses

I have some SR80i's and I can tell you the headband on Grado's were pretty uncomfortable for me.  They're not really much worse with glasses, but if you're looking for something comfortable I would look elsewhere.  Unless you want to replace the headband (which I did and made it much nicer).

Audio Newbie: Help decide between ...

Those all sound like good options, but first you're gonna have to give a few more details.  Each of these headphones are good for different types of music and work better with different setups.  So:   -What kind of music do you usually listen to?   -What will you be playing it out of?  Do...

    Headphone Repair help

Sounds to me like the connector is broken. You can get connectors for cheap on Amazon, I recommend this Neutrik connector, it is pretty easy to attach as long as you have a bit of soldering experience.  I just used one to recable my headphones and it has worked well so far.  (been using it for a...

Is there a sonic difference between the MEE M6 Pro's and the MEE Sport-fi M6P's?

It was an amazon cyber monday sale.  I would have told you about it but the deal ended minutes after I bought them.

Is there a sonic difference between the MEE M6 Pro's and the MEE Sport-fi M6P's?

I'm curious about this as well.  Just bought the Sport-Fi M6 on an Amazon deal for 10 bucks.

    Good amp for Senn HD598?

Source is my PC or an Ipod Classic 7g.  I'd rather spend less than $150 USD if possible.  Currently looking at the Fiio, but i'm open to other options as well.

    Good amp for Senn HD598?

HD598... sorry.  I'm not a big basshead, my current headphones are Grado Sr80i's and I have no complaints about the bass.   I tend to focus the most on vocals and I would like a larger soundstage.   Thanks for the reply.

    Good amp for Senn HD598?

I'm getting some Senn HD598's soon, but I'm not sure what kind of amp to pair with it. I listen to mostly alt rock, folk, EDM, and rap.  Suggestions?

Why would you choose cans over IEMs?

Advantages of headphones:   More comfortable (to most people) More durable (generally) Easier to repair Won't fall out of your ear   Advantages of IEM's Better isolation (generally) More portable   Both sound better with an amp, but you can find both headphones and IEM's that won't...

Help! new in-ear headphone suggestions in 100$ range

    First open headphones - $80-130

I am sure people are going to recommend you the Grado SR80i, but for your situation, I do not think that would be the best option.  The clarity is good, they are not really bass-lite, but their soundstage is not really very good.  Also, they are not too comfortable stock.   Also, this should...

    Grado replacement headbands?

I am using a headband from an old pair of Koss headphones, but they didn't really fit right so I had to use some wire and it looks really hackish and does not stay on that well, but the comfort is improved a lot.  I agree with you on the Sony's, they look kind of cheap and flimsy to me. I want...

    Grado replacement headbands?

I know that this thread has been started before, but nobody seemed to find any cheap headbands that you can buy online . I wanted to check if any have been found that completely replace the headband to improve comfort.
