HM-901
I checked a couple times daily until the offer had the 901s back in stock. They don't appear to put many up at a time, so you do need to keep watching. While my 901 was returned within the U.S., the replacement 901s was fulfilled from China. Haven't spent much time with the 901s...- caseyse

Oops, I have both the Srs-005s (Sr-003 mk2, std plug) and the Srm-002 + S-002 (portable plug, uses same Sr-003 mk2 driver). S-002 for the gym. I use both w. out the headband.- caseyse

I rotate using SR-002 and TrippleFi 10's in the gym with my AK120. I wear the 002's without the headband and they are comfortable for my 60-90 minute workout. I'm not a big fan of the gym and I suspect any potential discomfort from the 002's would be masked by the more acute pain I feel...- caseyse

Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
I have an AK120 with the dual SD card slot and the cards also don't latch/lock in place. I was always curious about this, but it hasn't been a problem as the cards' tension against the sliding cover keeps it closed.- caseyse

Headamp Blue Hawaii Special Edition
Can someone shed some light on the ALPS RK50 used in the BHSE? Does the RK50 use a ladder of SMD resisters vs. a conventional pot that drags contacts across a wire/membrane surface? If the RK50 uses a resister ladder, is the adjustment perceived to be fully linear? I can't tell from the...- caseyse

Been enjoying my Electra w. 009's and a Debussy DAC and I can't wait to receive my Silver BHSE in this upcoming batch. It's been a loooong wait, but I know it's going to be worth it! Trading in my Debussy and will be pairing the BHSE w. a Vivaldi DAC. I don't like treble too relaxed and...- caseyse

Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
This was a generalization based on the Cirrus chip's DNA, but like others have previously noted, it's all in the implementation of the DAC. The new AK is not fatiguing, but people are indicating they are more revealing.- caseyse

Brand Spanking New A&K AK120II and AK100II
I have been on the fence upgrading my AK120 to the AK240. While Cirrus Logic DACs have sometimes been considered fatiguing in contrast to the Wolfson's musical/comfortable to listen to for long periods, my personal preference is more in the Cirrus Logic camp (I also love the SR009 over the SR007...- caseyse

Tralucent Audio 1Plus2 IEM (Now With 'New' 1Plus2.2!) Impressions Thread
I just received my 1plus2 w. silver/gold cable and have been listening to them with my HM-901 w. IEM amp. card. I took a blind leap buying them only from reading various posts in this forum. They do sound excellent and I'm very happy with the purchase.- caseyse

I'm happy with the update. DSD tags are working in 1.33 and I haven't noticed any issues introduced. Once updated to 1.33, you need to rescan your music to populate your database with DSD tags.- caseyse

I paid $489 at B&H Photo. Such a bargain :-) I do benefit from the faster transfer speeds as I load files directly from my desktop computer, and I like to minimize card swaps. Once DSD is supported on the 901, even 256GB cards will seem small as 256GB will only support about 140 ripped SACDs.- caseyse

I swapped out the standard amp for the balanced amp as soon as I had my 901 unpacked. I have been very pleased with the sound, but I have been using the amp w. only SE IEMs. I had assumed the 901 when switched to SE using the balanced amp would consume about the same power as the IEM amp with...- caseyse

Quote: Only with DSD files. I converted my SACD collection (over 150 SACDs) from dff to dsd so I can edit the metadata. HQPlayer and Media Center now properly display the artist names but my AK120 doesn't. I have to use the folder view to access my DSD music.- caseyse
