The EX1000 is my most premium headphone I have, dont have cans and I like Sony alot, always wanted a pair of MRD1’s, would they be better or equal in general sound to the EX1000’s?

So I have been into headphones for a long time but never had the money to get the more expensive stuff so I always used my phone. Now that I have a good job and the money to spend I went out and got myself a Sony EX1000 and they sound great with my iPhone X, I always hear about amps and iem’s...

For anyone that has heard the Shure SE535, how are those compared to the EX1000? Always been curious about the 535’s as well..

Just received my EX1000 just now, listening a few things stand out to me.. 1. soundstage is very big! 2.instrument seperation is...wow 3.everything sounds soooo good, I thought my XBA30’s sounded amazing (they do) but I can imagine when I go back they are gonna sound closed, the ex1000 is so...

May I ask a question about sound, I have never owned an over the ear headphone, only iem, I have been interested in something like the Sony MDR1R, would that be a big drastic change in sound from an iem?

Could you compare the sound through the iphone to any other high end iem? I deff want them but it would kinda suck to not get the full potential from just using an iphone. As far as fit I can always keep my XBA40’s and use the 1000’s at home, especially since they expensive and valuable. Btw...

Ah ok I knew it was really expensive at the time haha Man even with all that I still want it lol, I do believe it does have a legendary aura around it so I may be bias.

Been using the xb90's. I figured soundstage would be a major point though.

This was a while back and they recovered perfectly to my amazement. Even more amazing is that 2 months ago I washed them AGAIN (smh) and then DRIED them in the dryer (double smh) when I took them out the pocket they were super hot and the cable had cuts in it, I said "well it was a good run...

Yea they sound like a great pair of headphones, its funny because this is the first ever cans I'll get, always been a iem guy myself. Im wondering if cans will be a new experience for me, I mean going from 9mm, 16mm to 40mm has to mean something right?

Ok guys, I am not as technically savy as you guys but all I know is the bass just got amazing on the xb90's with this phone!

I have been using the 6 plus with my sony xb90's for the past year, today I got the 6S Plus and....woah! The sub bass got even DEEPER with this phone, sounds really damn awesome, not better, just different.

Oh and yea I did put them to sun dry for a bit, I dunno if they are wet inside but they are comepley dry as far as I can see.

Sigh, nearly $100 down the drain, its funny because they still work but there are a few things. The soundstage is not as big as before. The bass is SO tiny and just meh now. It does not go as loud as before. Overall sounds tiny and a bit muffled. Im not sure they sound like a cheap pair off...
