I managed to break off the part above the last black ring on the jack and I need a time machine. But since I can't find one of those right now I'll need some DIY. I was hoping it would be fine to just superglue the tip back on. Seems simple enough. Has anybody tried it with good results?

I'd like to go to a demo room where both very expensive and more affordable headphones will be available to test out, but the store have higher than average prices so I wouldn't dare spend my money there. How do you feel about this? (p.s. sorry if this is not the best place to post this)

I just bought a new pair of Beyerdynamic DT770s today from a local store after giving the ones on display a good demo. They sound just as good except that with some songs the bass causes the left driver to rattle which as you can imagine is rather annoying and detracts from the listening...

Even though it's recognized as a device by the PC, I can't see it under Sound > Playback. I've tried reinstalling it and restarting the laptop but the problem persists. The DAC works fine on a friends laptop so it's a problem with mine. Any help would be much appreciated.

When using my closed back ones and pulling then slightly so that they hover over my ears they sound much nicer. Is that what open back sound like?
