I had the exact same idea  We spend way to much money on this already! I don't really need streaming, so an X3 with a better dac and a good line out would do just fine.

I ordered the ebony version. It will not arrive till November. I was too late to order the purple heart version.    I didn't sell the HD650 because I did not like them, I just can't use open headphones at the moment.
