  Local retailer in Sweden. www.elgiganten.se They jack the price up way to high, but then every so often they sell them for the equivalent of 120-150USD. Combined with the walking distance to have them replaced, it turned out to be to my advantage. B!

I want a pair that looks like they are supposed to, and not where the decor is lifting showing the silver side of the foil, making it look like a big nasty scratch. Was it only cosmetically, sure. Whats the first thing you see about the headphones? Yes, cosmetics. So, i want them to look right...

  I ended up replacing my pair 4 times, to finally end up with a pair where the "decor sticker" on the cups aren't lifting, and showing silver. They all sounded exactly alike, all said "Woox" on the headphones, only the first one said "Woox" on the box, the current set, and the other two...

  Has this EVER been an issue? It's my main complaint about the X2's, they feel like they are going to fall of my head at any second. Well, not right now, waiting for yet another replacement to be shipped out to me... B!

  There are if nothing else third party pads on the market. But to be quite frank, glued, in my world, doesn't mean replaceable. B!

  I have to ask, exactly what about open headphones is it you don't like? I was under the imagination that there was sound-profiles one could like, or dislike, where as most open headphones have a significantly wider sound-stage, but going from there to automatically disqualify all open...

  It's not so much about the budget, it's more about the point where you get diminishing returns... There is enough money on the account that i could confidently say it would cover pretty much anything that could qualify as DAC / Headphone amp, or combo, but i'd much rather keep parts of that...

  Depends mostly on how they make, and apply it. If it's made from pree-glued sheets with a stamping press, and ready for application, then i would call it a sticker. Thats how the aluminum foil stickers for the X2 is made, no doubt.   From looking at my pair, i would say the sliver of silver...

I actually wouldn't bother, if it was something that wasn't just caused by trying to get by on the cheapest of all solutions. This is a sticker. It's a brand new item, with a rather premium pricetag. It should be spotless when it shows up. Especially with the attention to detail the item is promoted to have been conceived with... B!

If the X2 does anything to a good recording, then there is something wrong with the X2. Return it.

Graphite, Teflon, some paraffin lubricants. The list is so long it's funny. But i personally wouldn't use anything that gets tacky. B!

I bet it can, but i wouldn't. Anything greasy is a magnet for dust and other crap. In the long run being a bigger problem then the creaking that will go away over time. B!

However, if a commodity is sold as used, which i think is the case here, then your out of luck.  Even if it's from a retailer.   But, there is always Phillips. They probably will honor warranties based on proof of purchase & manufacturer date. Either way, it's a shame it took so long to get...

Taking the headphones apart, and replacing the faulty connector isn't an option? B!   Edit At least over here, if a issue is reported within the warranty time, it doesn't actually have to be returned at that point. So, i'd hit the Amazone warehouse for support, and see if they will accept...
