Amarra claims to have to little memory even if you have 16gb....Time to revamp it, they are not alone on the market anymore.

Quote: There are plenty of HDR/Tonal mapping plugins to try. Now granted the shown HDR here is done quite well, multiple raw exposures will help a lot in keeping details through out the DR.

Would be nice to see it without the HDR and tonal effect....

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

Quote:   It's quite amusing reading your older post about the MX5021 compared to this.. your not very consistent in your arguments thats for sure!   Not sure why you felt the need to make the statement of using a internal sound card, i think it's quite clear to everyone.   You and...

Connecting Audioengine A5+ Speakers to Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer and DAC/Amp Question

Well give the D1 a try, the E17 is quite a upgrade from the original E7 so if you need a portable setup i would definitely take the e9/E17 combo over the Audioengines D1.

    Audiophile players for Mac?

Im not sure what your after, there is no point for us to tell how the software performs, as it just a mouse klick for you to try them for your self with your own setup and compare to the player you use at the moment.     I'd say the thread contains a lot of feedback on the different...

Connecting Audioengine A5+ Speakers to Wharfedale Diamond SW150 Subwoofer and DAC/Amp Question

DAC (soundcard)   Desktop solutions that will sound better then your currents setup   Audinst HUD-MX1 Yulong U100   A portable alternative is the Fiio E17 which is clear upgrade from your current E7.   Connecting You can refer to your subwoofer manual for how to connect your...

    Audiophile players for Mac?

These software players are just one part in the chain, installing them will not magically make all your music to sound better.   First in the chain is the source, meaning the music files you will play. If they are low quality MP3 your off to a bad start. If they are FLAC or ALAC your haven...

Newb Here. Need Some Help Please? (Studio Monitor Question)

Well if you use them for mixing there are certainly better DAC's as the KRK series are a bit bass heavy to begin with so a DAC that color the sound even further isn't helping.   The Fiio DAC's are not very neutral, closest you will come to that in the same price range is the Audinst...

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

As for DAC the M50w is the bottleneck as is just about any of the other 2.1 systems we mentioned. To take advantage of good 200$ DAC you simply need speakers that can reveal the difference.

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

Quote: So why not connect the DAC->SUB->Monitors ?!    What kind of 200$ Subwoofer did he get ?    The trouble is the same with the Swan M50w, you claim in another thread that the MX5021 has better midrange..   About a month ago my 6-year old MX5021's died so i know quite well...

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

Quote: You "buddy" seems to have more money then brains.   Why on earth would he run a splitter from the DAC !?!? That alone tells us he doesn't know much...   What "larger monitors" did he get ? Just about any high quality 6,5"+ monitor will give you enough accurate bass...

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

Im sure you have, and I'm sure you realize your not alone in have done so....   You would have to define "real speakers", without a definition of how you use the term it's as useless as it sounds.   The fact you claim the M50w to be head and shoulders above the competition tells me more...

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

I was referring to the MK II as another poster mentioned them above... (yes i realize he first option was the M50w and not the MK II)   A external dac is never needed when hooking up a speakers to you computer, the reason people get them is to improve the SQ.    Comparing a 2.1 system...

Recommended 2.1 system for listening to music under £200/$300 including amps etc. (Boston acoustics soundware xs experience would be appreciated)

The subwoofer is quite large so if space on the floor is limited that can pose a problem. The sub is a 4th passband design, which makes it larger then regular bass port designs.    Well not many audiophiles will recommend you a 2.1 system to begin, let alone from a company like corsair. :-)...

Swan M50W vs KRK RP5 vs Audioengine A5s

Rokits isn't known to have high level of accuracy (though compared to PC speakers like the Swan and Audioengine they probably are), you would have to step up to the VXT series for that.   That however is probably a good thing for someone after booming bass and not accurate sound.   Swan...

Recommended 2.1 system for listening to music under £200/$300 including amps etc. (Boston acoustics soundware xs experience would be appreciated)

A 2.1 system in that price range will be compromise in terms of stereo imaging and range.    But you already know this and due to size limitations you can't go with a pair of bookshelf speakers.   Due to the fact you need to lug stuff around maybe it would be simpler to just get a active...

Questions regarding upgrading to Dacmagic Plus or Yulong D100 Mk II

Thanx, excellent!   My research this far points me to the Dacmagic Plus. Especially considering thats it's quite cheap in Sweden compared to the rest of Europe.
