    Just Got PSB M4U 8

Anyone have any recommendations how to safely remove the ear pads? These are unlike those on the M4U 2's and I'm afraid I'll damage/stretch the vinyl if I try to grip from the inside and pull...

    Just Got PSB M4U 8

Thank you. I'm trying my Samsung fast charging wall charger now. Just seems kinda lame that these $400 headphones require very specific charging conditions - especially when people tend to use these for travel. USB ports in planes, airports and hotels likely will not work. :frowning2:

    Just Got PSB M4U 8

Hi - could you tell me what those specs are? I've tried all kinds of USB chargers and NONE of them work. Thank you. :)

    Just Got PSB M4U 8

I know it's been quite a long time since you posted, but I completely agree with your assessment of the bloated bass in ANC mode. Also, to my ears, passive mode sounds muffled and active mode sounds bright and thin. I'll likely keep mine due to the same design features you mentioned- cable ports...

    Just Got PSB M4U 8

I received a new pair of M4U 8'S and couldn't get them to charge. PSB sent me a replacement set - also brand new - and these, too, won't charge. I've tried the included USB cable as well as high quality after market cables, and various USB wall chargers, but no luck. Here's what happens: I plug...

    PSB M4U 2

Quote: Yes - I also called them and they said no changes were made, but materials vary, so I guess that could mean that no changes were intentionally made. All I know is what I hear and, as a result, I'm in a bit of a quandary!

    PSB M4U 2

Quote: Thank you for your input. I'm not running either pair through anything. Just direct from iPod classic or macbook pro. At least I know I'm not crazy. If I trust my ears, the older set is cleaner, there is more separation and articulation in the highs, and, while the bass is less...

    PSB M4U 2

I'm curious about any and all differences between early and recent production runs of the M4U 2s. Here's why:   I bought a pair of M4U2s that had three specific issues: first, the headband developed the tiny cracks on both the left and right sides. Second, the headband creaked terribly...

Grado SR325i - Ear pad Cushion Variations??

Yes, both sets are from Grado. Each set came attached to brand new authentic sr325is's that came sealed from an authorized seller. Seems that there are quite a few variances with Grado headphones, from the size/shape of the ear pads (my original post), to the finish on the cans themselves. Not...

The Official Grado 325i Owners Club.

I recently posted a question regarding variances in the stock ear cushions / ear pads that come with the 325is but I didn't receive any responses, so I'm posting the link to my post here, in the hopes that some of you would be willing to will read it and get back to me with your thoughts.   ...

Grado SR325i - Ear pad Cushion Variations??

I recently received a two sets of SR325is. When I compared them, I discovered that the ear pad cushions on one pair are darker, taller (from back to front), firmer, and the tops (that go around your ear) are shaped slightly differently. I then checked out a few pair locally and I've seen both...

    post your grado mods....

Hi everyone -   The silver paint on the little round emblems on my SR325i's ear cups is chipping off. In fact they came that way and when I ordered a second pair, the emblems were fine but the sliver/gray powder coating on the ear cups (or whatever it's called) was a mess - one ear side was...

    PSB M4U 2

Hi everyone  - the first pair of M4U2's I received did, in fact, crack on both the left and right sides of the head band. I ordered a second pair, and the creaking was really bad on the left side so I ordered a third pair. The third pair creaks pretty significantly on both the left on the right...

New Miles Davis Trumpet (not Tribute) earphones

Mine don't have the Miles signature/logo or engravings on the earpiece either. Where those just on the prototypes and not on the commercially released units?

Grado SR325i Design or Build Quality Question

Thanks for the input - I kind of had a feeling it was somewhat normal AND that my gimbals might be a bit more curved inwards than others. I looked at a pair of SR125's and the inward curve didn't look nearly as extreme, but, like on your SR225's, it's hard to tell, due to the black ear cups.  ...

    PSB M4U 2

I LOVE the way these headphones sound and the only things giving me pause about keeping them are the interference/feedback I mentioned above and the creaking of the left hinge area (not sure if it't the hinge itself or the plastic.  Wondering if others out there would refrain from buying them...

Grado SR325i Design or Build Quality Question

I recently bought a set of Grado SR325i's and while I'm happy with the sound, I'm curious about something having to do with their design, and I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is intentional or an issue with poor build quality control:   The ear cups are held in place by two black rings that...

    PSB M4U 2

I've been listening to the M4U2s for about a month and I'm definitely a big, big fan. However, I've been experiencing an issue that I brought to the attention of PSB and wanted to find out if anyone else has experienced something similar:   The other day, while sitting in my studio, I...

Miles Davis Trumpet vs. B&W C5 vs. Klipsch x10i

I'm trying to decide between the above three in-ear monitors and would REALLY appreciate some input, opinions and advice.   Here's what I paid - perhaps that should influence which one I should keep:   Miles Davis Trumpet: $199 B&W C5:  $179 (but I can use a coupon through Apple to...
