AKG K242HD & amp questions
Hi there, I have bought AKG K242HD and I mostly listen to them on my laptop/iPod/iPhone. Characteristics of these are: 55ohm impedance and 104dB/V sensitivity. Can someone who owns/owned these tell me about the impact of using amp on these ones? If so, what cost-efective amp should I get? Thanks.- manxys

It seems that K271 and K172 cost about the same. How does K172 sound like?- manxys

good noise cancelling headphones?
Have you tried active noice cancelling? It sounds like you are under water, but you can still hear the outside noise if you listen quietly. I'd recommend going for closed cap over ear headphones with v.good isolation.- manxys

I had IEMs, Klipsch S4, but I broke them two days ago by steping on one of the monitors. I dont want to go back to IEMs, because my ears get tired of this 'seal' feeling, I also fear IEMs has some bad impact on my hearing.- manxys

I've only listened to HD 25-1 and M50 from the list, and stranglely enough HD25-1 was fitting fine (sure, they are on-ear), but M50 was pressing temples of my glasses too much.- manxys
