beyerdynamic T5p: Photos and first impressions.

anyone here who knows how these compare to the HD800? I have had these for two weeks and they have been impressive. The few problem i have with them however is that they lean a bit to the bright side for my liking, and the mids are a bit too forward (so slightly) and although the treble is so...

    Sennheiser HD800S Unveiled!

Hello everyone! I have been upgrading my audio equipment from low/mid-fi to hi-fi. My first high-end purchase is the closed-back beyerdynamic T5p. I bought it a week ago. Coming from the Fidelio X2 (mid-fi), the whole music sounds more real on the T5ps, and a lot more natural. T5p has better...

    Cambridge Audio DacMagic XS

I don't think it will make a worthwhile difference with the T51p. I have both, and I don't think that the dacmagic xs is a great device, add that to the fact that the T51p is very easy to drive. The xs can reveal itself slightly better with those headphones that are a little more demanding than...

    NEW 2015 - HIFIMAN HE400S

Thank you! I still have a few more questions about these in comparison to the X2s, please. I have had the x2s for a few months, although great headphones, i got bored of them and i am looking for a better replacement. my problem with the x2 is the laid back sound and the missing energy in both...

    Android phones and USB DACs

tab s + UAPP + dacmagic xs works like a charm. i dunno whats the reason but the sound quality coming from this set up is noticeabally better than running the dacmagic xs off the laptop (although i use Foobar with WASAPI plug-in). any reasons u can think of? is UAPP the thing that makes the...

    Android phones and USB DACs

My samsung tab s is using android 5.0.2, yet I still dunno how to make usb audio work. With UAPP, it works great, but isnt this version of android supposed to work natively? Am I missing something?

    Android phones and USB DACs

Thank you very much! My galaxy s3 is working now. Now to everybody, is the problem of phones frying limited to galaxy s3 or is it a problem that plagues all phones? I need to know bcz I wanna use my tab s 8.4 but my experience with the galaxy s3 scares me. Plz some input, if you were me...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I agree that the mids on the x2 are not U shaped. The x2 vocals arent distant, they are pretty neutral. To me, why someone would find them lacking isnt bcz they are distant, its just that they lack some energy. Here is what tyll from innerfidelity thinks: The upper-mids and low treble of the...

    Android phones and USB DACs

Are u saying that plugging that Y cable to a laptop wont provide enough power? So I shd just use a wall charger all the time? My s3 runs android 4.3, I guess I will upgrade to 4.4 and see if it plays usb audio natively.

    Android phones and USB DACs

Thank you for the information. If i hook up the OTG Y cable to my laptop, will it provide enough power? I mean given the fact that the dacmagic xs uses power from computer usb. and another question, since this problem is associated with the galaxy s3, should i not fear using the tab s? I mean...

    Android phones and USB DACs

Hi everyone! A few months ago, I bought the dacmagic xs. Then I figured I wanned to hook it up to my galaxy s3. I downloaded USB Audio Player Pro app and the combination worked. Then in the dacmagic xs there is a feature when u press two buttons, it goes to usb class 2 (so that it supports high...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

I totally I agree that the X2 leaves something to be desired in the mids. I do crank up the volume more than I want, to reach good vocal saturation. Good luck with your next upgrade. If ever buy iems soon, the Velvets will be on top of my list.

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Did u upgrade? Or did u grow bored of the X2's sound? Usually imbalances in the treble are frequent in headphones and should be tolerable, but if the imbalance is that severe, I cant be sure. Something similar happened to me when I was doing the test, but when I re-positioned the cup...

    Philips Fidelio X2?!

Use Sinegen to make sure that you have imbalances. I thought my X2 did suffer from it, but after the test, it turned out it is my source, not the headphones. The headphones have no imbalances. The thing was that they were sensitive enough to reveal that, unlike my previous headphones.
