The Astell & Kern AK120
Thank you! My technical competencies needs some serious update... :-) Syncing JRiver software and AK120 proved to be a piece of cake. Just erase everything on the AK120 before syncing to avoid having 2 files of everything... *sigh* P.s. Playlists not showing up as expected...- StimulatedBoy

The Astell & Kern AK120
Just upgraded JRiver til version 19 (something) and AK120 firmware to 1.33, and discovered that it's possible to sync AK120 with playlists and everything using JRiver. Dont know if this is common knowledge around here but decided to tell you all anyways. Started the sync 10 minutes ago and...- StimulatedBoy

The Astell & Kern AK120
Now, if only they could offer me some real music, I'd be opening an account. Seriously, pushing 50 and Creedence was not even an option for young people back in late 70s. Well, of course unless you and your family belonged to the hillbillie tribe...- StimulatedBoy

The Astell & Kern AK120
Hi lee736, and thank you for your feedback. I can see from the Heir thread, that you have had your share of troubles, and can only imagine the agony in the process of dealing with a producer on the other side of the world when in trouble. Very contradictory to my own experience which turned out...- StimulatedBoy

I like it. Not as big as I assumed it would be. Kind of like the iMod with an amp or thereabout. Nice! Looking forward to your sound impression in a day or two... Congrats- StimulatedBoy

The Astell & Kern AK120
A question for lee730, as I know you have both AK120 and 8.A, how do you like the two of them together? How would you describe the fit between them? Believe that you have a more trained ear than me. Any thoughts? Any recommendation for a noob like me? Thanks- StimulatedBoy

Astell & Kern AK120 impression thread
Got hold of the AK 120 today and have to admit that I love this player. Absolutely beautiful, perfect size, nice UI, and stunning SQ wise. All in all, a nice upgrade from the iMod and Headstage 12HE 4G. So far it also seems to play nicely with Heir Audios 8.A. Will try out the UE 18 Pro later...- StimulatedBoy

Audeze LCD-2 - Which amp: Burson HA-160D OR Violectric V200
In summary, this (Violectric DAC V800) is one of the best DACs I've ever experienced, which is surprising since it only costs $1300. That's a lot of money, but actually pretty low for a top class DAC, which is what I consider this to be. In my personal experience I rank it below the Resonessense...- StimulatedBoy

Honestly don't know but as I have upgraded to Headstage Arrow 4G you can have mine. PM me your adress (including nation) and I'll send it to you on monday. Headstage Arrow HE: Reviews, Impressions, Perceptions & Sensations
Received my Arrow 4G today, and although it’s very early in the evaluation process, first impressions are nothing but stunning. Beautifully built, and the sound, of my god, the sound… I have goose bumps all over at the moment. Heartfelt gratitude to Robert for allowing me to have this AMP...- StimulatedBoy

Need a HIFI mp3 player than can play Apple Lossless files, recommendations?
RWA iMod modification is one option as you have The iPod Classics. Then just get the ALO LOD for your amp and you're ready to go. Vinnie will also install a SSD (while modyfying your iPod) for $50 if you send it to him. http://redwineaudio.com/imod- StimulatedBoy

Joe's, Kunlun's and Sorenslim's reviews of the 8.A helped me decide for that model as my second CIEMs but I couldn't figure out how to get what I wanted, so I just wrote them a letter with a picture and asked for an offer.* I'm soo looking forward to these... :D * 3 1/2 years in a Ph.D...- StimulatedBoy

Hi Joe, Again thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspectives with us. Multi-Custom In-Ear Monitor Review, Resource, Mfg List & Discussion (Check first post for review links & information)
Dear Joe, I followed your advice and went for the Headstage Arrow 4G to accompany a RWA iMod (with a SSD disk and an ALO LOD). Everything is under way and should arrive in a week or two, unless customs decides to give me a hard time. Although I still love the sound of the UE 18 Pro, I am...- StimulatedBoy

Ladies and Gentlemen, 7 months ago, I purchased UE 18 Pro and a FiiO E7 to accompany my iPhone 4S.
