So I finally found the time to photograph my Roxannes... as I said before, I changed from CF to clear acrylic + CF, which got me a faster delivery and the visual benefits of an awesome looking shell and being able to see the drivers in all their glory. Here we are!  

I ordered CF on Black Friday, which was taking forever, then changed a couple of weeks ago to acrylic to speed things up.

I'm not sure why everyone is so obsessed with the idea of sound stage in IEMs of all things. If you're worried about that, don't spend silly amounts of money trying to achieve greater sound stage through different headphones, especially IEMs where driver placement will be virtually identical...

I don't think anyone can answer that very well at the moment. I don't know about the K10, but it's very early days for the Roxanne since they've had some manufacturing delays. The only complete review I've seen yet is Currawong's...

You guys are reporting all of the connector failures and showing pictures to JHA, right? The more info they have for assessing the problem, the better. This looks like a launch design issue that they would definitely want to address, and it seems likely they may need to modify the mould tool to...

Personally, I'd like to upgrade from my cowon j3 since it doesn't seem to play ball with 24 bit flac files. I want a portable standalone/single unit DAP which will drive the Roxanne happily by itself, can take sdhc cards, and doesn't have a painfully bad UI, for sub £500. Does such a thing exist?

What DAP is that, anyone know? I assume that's what Jerry uses when he's on the move?

Seriously though, how do you pick the metalised logo on the carbon fibre option? There's nothing about it on the designer page, but I'm sure I've seen the Roxanne with it.

I installed that and everything went fine, new splash screen and all. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have fixed my problem, the sound is still really quiet. I guess it must be a hardware thing? Thanks for your help though, I'll just have to hope HiSoundAudio eventually reply.

Well I tried reflashing the firmware although I could only find one version online, and that doesn't seem to have fixed it. I emailed the HiSoundAudio support address on Sunday and still no response... are they usually this slow to respond? Also, who is Jack?

Yeah no kidding, it's definitely not my ears... I haven't lost my hearing that much yet! I wonder what it could be, I assume it's a completely new player but honestly I have no idea where it came from. If I get no joy from HiSoundAudio I might try and get in contact with whoever set up the raffle.

I just won one of these at the head-fi London meet! Really pleased... or I would be, except that I seem be having volume issues with my player. When I try listening on any of my headphones (ER-4P, SE535 LTD, Frogbeats C4) it's just far too quiet, even when I have the volume all the way up at 31...
