Portable amp for ath-m50
Hi head fi'ers, I got a new ath-m50 a couple days ago. First day I tried it with my pc. It was GREAT compared to my old $25 in ear headphones. I just loved it. So after 2 days of burn-in (I used it with my pc all the time) I decided to try it with my phone. And the problem is my phone is...- RaidRoll

Burning ath-m50 in
Quote: Thanks. I guess I will do that. But one last question. Do you use your m50 with or without an amp. If with, does it make a massive difference.- RaidRoll

Burning ath-m50 in
Quote: Oh it does change. My friend has an ath-m50 and the day he bought it I tested it. It was still very very good without burn-in. But when he burned it in, bass got more punchy, mids got louder and less recessed and highs got A LOT more clearer. He used normal music to burn-in but he...- RaidRoll

Burning ath-m50 in
Hi head-fiers , So I got my new ath-m50 today and I want to burn them in properly. Should I use white/pink noise or should I just listen to music at normal volume. Is there any difference at burn in quality between pink/white noise and normal music. And lastly does an amp increase burn-in quality.- RaidRoll

Best headphones for $150-200. (FOR ROCK MUSIC)
Quote: Yes that is a big problem for me. It is just for home usage. So SR 225 is out of the picture. My first selection was SRH 840 because, as you said, it is more balanced. But I just can't find it in Turkey. My cousin is going to Paris a couple of week later. Maybe he can find...- RaidRoll

Best headphones for $150-200. (FOR ROCK MUSIC)
Oh I forgot to say. Sound leakage and isolation is very important for me. I will use the headphones outside. On the bus, train and mostly at my school. And BTW I looked at grado reviews and it seems to have GREAT mids but it lacks at bass department. Normal highs I guess. I know mids are...- RaidRoll

Best headphones for $150-200. (FOR ROCK MUSIC)
Quote: Here is the problem: I live in Turkey. I can hardly find a m50 around here and can't buy from amazon because if it is over $50 it can't pass the border. It is a law (a stupid one). So I have to find a headphone in Turkey and it is really really hard. People around here think beats is...- RaidRoll

Best headphones for $150-200. (FOR ROCK MUSIC)
Quote: It's a little more expensive than m50s and looks very uncomfortable. But if its sound quality is better who cares, right? I will look for some reviews about m50 vs hd25.- RaidRoll

Best headphones for $150-200. (FOR ROCK MUSIC)
OK. I know there are tons of threads and reviews about $150-200 headphones but there isn't any threads about classical rock and hard rock performances (led zeppelin, guns n roses, the beatles, ac/dc, queen...) So i think the best headphones for $150-200 are ath-m50, HFI-580 and srh-840 but which...- RaidRoll
