Nope. I just manually plug the XLR cables into whatever amp is my flavor at the moment. A decent use case for an XLR SYS like solution, but I can survive as the stack is right next to my desk.

Just have to skip the sidegrading and keep three different amps and a collection of headphones to create the combo that best fits your mood. :)

Yeah they are opposite ends of the spectrum. I like the beyer 990s myself vs the 770s for rock, so you might want to consider them too. A bit more balanced sound in my opinion than the 770s. Do a search, you might find some good info

A900s have more obvious mids than the 770s, less bass, but in my opinion a more balanced sound. They are overall less fatiguing as well. From my experiences I like the 900s more and would sell off my 770s if they were selling for a better price now a days.

I perfer the 990s to the 770s as well. I believe the bass is more clear (though not quite the same amount) and that the cans have a more round sound as a whole w/ the addition of some sound stage.

Another vote for the dt990s from beyer. At the moment I perfer the 990s to my MS-2s for rock because of the larger sound stage and fuller sound overall. Plus my 990s are so much more comfy.

The 555s are fine without an amp, but do benefit a bit. The are a solid headphone, but are honestly more of a gateway drug than anything else . They were my first real pair of headphones and >$1000 later spent on audio stuff in the last few months....oh my poor wallet
