NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions

Just wanted to comment on volume on the H95: I’m in the camp that for whatever reason listens to music at louder volumes. (Damaged hearing? Less sensitive ears?) I find I’m Listening between 70-100% volume (usually closer to 70, depending on the recording.) These aren’t as loud as some other...

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions

Right... the H95 can’t be used passively which is first and foremost why our friend is suggesting you won’t see much improvement. Still, could be interesting to compare.

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions

My H95’s arrived today. I don’t test or listen to headphones extensively so I won’t try to review or make any comparisons to other headphones. (Mentioned previously that my most recent headphones in the last several years were Beoplay H6 2nd gen’s, which are fun to listen to.) All I can say is...

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions

Thanks for sharing those details. I am using an iPhone 11 Pro Max as well, but with the music app (iTunes match) and Spotify. So far I don’t have any complaints— I used to keep at least specific genres of music in lossless format on my devices, but it’s been years since I’ve synced with my...

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions

I am curious what sources people are listening to (device, music app / streaming service). Mostly just looking at my setup and hoping to eliminate any compromises on sound quality from transcoding, etc. I’m using an iPhone and have an iTunes Library, but do my streaming on Spotify currently, and...

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions

I haven’t logged in to Head-Fi for a DECADE but have been reading your thread and figured I’d log in tonight to say thanks for creating this thread. Honestly, I noticed the same pattern of that negative set of comments popping up in the few places online with H95 impressions. I guess it was more...

Fix 5.5g iPod or buy new one?

First: how do you like the sound of your 5.5g? I really enjoyed mine. I bought the classic when it came out (the first 160gb model they released, so it's thicker) and really don't enjoy the sound as much as I did on the 5.5g. Also, all the "bells and whistles" that came with my classic resulted...

iPad to Support USB Audio Interfaces via Camera Connection Kit?

Alright, I know this is three posts in a row... I hooked up the 3rd gen iPod Touch (with the latest updates installed), no dice. pops up with a message that says the device is unsupported. Tried playing music just to make sure, and the music came out of the iPod's speaker. I don't know...

iPad to Support USB Audio Interfaces via Camera Connection Kit?

I'm reading the Onkyo ND-S1 thread here and just noted that there's an option for "PC" -- as in, USB from PC to the Onkyo to get digital out. It'd be kinda clumsy (compared to just a new dock that was configured to do digital just by docking it), but you could use the "PC" input to get digital...

iPad to Support USB Audio Interfaces via Camera Connection Kit?

How does the software differ between the 3GS and the iPod Touch? I have access to a third gen iPod Touch I could test it on (possibly tomorrow). My thinking is that more than anything it's software support / a driver for USB audio that makes the difference (unless there are differences in the...

iPad to Support USB Audio Interfaces via Camera Connection Kit?

For those interested, I picked up an iPad camera connection kit tonight. Plugged in the USB dongle, plugged USB cable into that, mini USB end into the predator, and fired up the iPod app. It works. Very cool-- digital output from the iPad!

iPad to Support USB Audio Interfaces via Camera Connection Kit?

Question: I don't have a solid understanding of DAC's. What's in the Pico / Predator? What sampling rates does it handle? From what I read, at least initially, the iPad software will only support 16-bit / 48,000.
