you are right the port on the back says line out. I thought it was an input. I am sending the E10 back I might get a desktop amp or something else. Otherwise I may just get some new iem's for the gym.

I thought the E10 would be an improvement over my computer sound card. I was wrong. Is there somethign else i should try to improve my headphones. I use the Ultrasone HFI-580 headphones. I was just looking for some improvement.,

I am thinking about getting the FiiO E7 to use as a "usb sound card" and for a portable amp. Is this the best option for these two uses?   This item would be used most at my computer and occasionally used for a portable amp.

I've thought about the 77s but I read that there was more bass with the 55s. I would go either way but I want something that has emphasis on the bass.
