Cavalli Audio's Liquid Carbon Owners Impressions
Just received mine yesterday, and am very much enjoying the sound straight out of the box, although I only have single ended headphone cabling at the moment. I'm very exited to hear this amp via the balanced out. I did have a question regarding the switching. The manual states that the far...- yonitaun

Audeze LE-8
They've taken out print adds for this (the EL-8), in Stereophile at least, that state "At CES South Hall Booth 22018", so there will more than likely be a lot more info at the very least.- yonitaun

Audeze LCD-2 Impressions Thread
If your looking at used, might I also suggest checking out the ALO Pan Am? It's a brilliant little amp that has great synergy with the lcd2's, with the added bonus of being small/transportable, and having a halfway decent built in DAC. Of course, as others above have said, you can't really go...- yonitaun

Misleading recommendations on HE-400?
No other cables. You have to supply the rca connections and the usb cable for the modi Schiit does sell a very short set of rca's and a short usb for connection between their products called PYST, listed under accessories- yonitaun

Misleading recommendations on HE-400?
The modi is usb powered, so just the usb connection in, then rca out to amplification (in this case the magni). The magni does need an AC adapter for power, which it comes with.- yonitaun

Misleading recommendations on HE-400?
So I thought I would throw another option out there for the OP. The Aune T1 dac/amp combo. I just received this piece of kit a few weeks ago, and I have to say, I'm impressed. It's a very good sounding unit, to my ears. It falls inside the price range of the other gear being discussed...- yonitaun

Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread
So, I finally got around to building the crack I bought during the Bottlehead free speedball sale last year. Had to see what all the fuss is about. I have to say, I'm thoroughly impressed. I don't have any experience w/ any of the other phones in Sennheisers line up, but you can count me...- yonitaun

DAC with phono and spdif inputs?
I think the Alpha Design Labs GT40 has everything your looking for, and the DAC is suppose to be pretty good, as well, though I've never heard it myself. http://www.musicdirect.com/p-12443-alpha-design-labs-gt-40-usb-dac-headphone-amp-phono-preamp.aspx Edit: Scratch that, just...- yonitaun

Show us your Head-Fi station at it's current state. No old pictures please...
So, I wanted to say I'm quite overwhelmed with the response that I've received to the pictures I've posted. Because there is so much interest, I'm going to spend some time figuring out the feasibility of making a number of these. Please keep in mind that these (both the stand and the skull) are...- yonitaun

Quote: Sure. It's actually a skull made out of solid teak. One of my brothers had the idea to make a helmet stand for his motorcycle helmet. We did some designing and mock-ups, and made one out of MDF w/ a high gloss paint. The final product turned out really cool, so I decided to do one...- yonitaun

FA-011 vs HE-400's?
It's been a while since I owned the FA-011s, so being this is going off of memory, take it w/ a grain of salt. I definitely agree with ninjames about the soundstage and especially the instrument seperation being on another level w/ the HE-400. The bass on the the FA-011s is very...- yonitaun
