Fixed my K7XX!   Not heard back from Massdrop still, so got fed up and decided to pop the covers off and have a look.       As you can see, the red cable solder has come off, it's a weak application of solder too, so with daily use the cup moving on the hinge has loosened the cable off...

No different to stock cable. I don't expect any SQ differences in cables of such a short length anyway, it's a cable :p I just wanted something shorter and lighter as the stock cable is heavy and long and I can feel it moving my head around!

Got this shorter cable from eBay. Came to under 310 with free delivery. Seems just as well built as V-moda's audio only cable which I also have.
