NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Very interesting information, experience tells a different story though. If that were actually true i dont think they could be priced as they are lol. The bluetooth sounds quite okay, details are still present and bass is thumping however soundstage suffers greatly and is closed compared to the...- Ampeezy

NEW Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H95 ANC Headphones - Reviews & Impressions
Have owned the H95s for almost three weeks now, running them primarily wired with the dragonfly black and apple music lossless. So far they have been quite impressive. Other phones i've owned in the price range include the focal Elear, Clear, LCD-2. At this point the H95s seem to be very...- Ampeezy

There are many affordable amps with adequate power that will make the Elears shine over the LCD-2. With those sources you are describing, you're probably not hearing the Elear's full potential. The LCD-2s do generally sound quite good on low power, but do not scale as well as the Elears. Just...- Ampeezy

Burson V6 Vivid and V6 Classic Discrete Audio Opamps Discussion and Reviews
I honestly don't know if it is the headphones breaking in, or the V6 Vivids, but yes after three months they sound much more natural sounding with a bit less emphasis on a bright signature. They are truly transparent Opamps. Also, It could just be my ears becoming famliar with the sound over the...- Ampeezy

Wow, I'd love to try the clear pads if the really do improve on the Elears clarity. Does it affect imaging and instrument separation as well? I feel the Elear can get a little muddy there on complex songs. Clear pads will probably be at least $100 though :/ You mean at least $200?- Ampeezy

In my experience I have been lucky enough not to hear this crackling, even on bass heavy tracks, but I have heard a slight bit of distortion on really really bass heavy tracks at moderately high volume. I personally dont consider it a design flaw, because the Dynamic performance is well worth it...- Ampeezy

Went with pure UP-OCC copper after trying the silver plated UP-OCC version. It sounds a bit smoother and clearer, and that is good enough for me. Silver plated version i found too gritty for lack of a better word, but its all about synergy...if you find them too dark with your current setup...- Ampeezy

I use Tidal via Roon and add a boost at 4kz, really really improves the experience for me. These drivers are amazing, but the tuning was not the best possible. I use the Essence STX II with the new Burson V6 vivids and boy am I having a good time. This is what Hi Fi should sound like. And let...- Ampeezy

Burson V6 Vivid and V6 Classic Discrete Audio Opamps Discussion and Reviews
I have had the V6 Vivids for almost two weeks now and I am definitely pleased with the clarity, excellent tonal balance, that holographic quality which i think is the result of the incredibly detailed yet natural sound. These in the Essence STX II, with the focal elears is a pretty nice sounding...- Ampeezy

I use a 2dB peak at 4.5kHz with 2Q, does enough for me. But then most people dont have software with decent EQ functionality, and those that do get expensive but it really helps if that dip bothers you.- Ampeezy

Tidal has a pretty big selection as well, though unfortunately not as large as spotify's. I used spotify before I switched, and yes, there are one or two songs that you wont find on tidal. However for me that is a rare occurence. It would depend on your music tastes, but for me Tidal is a no...- Ampeezy

Have had these phones for close to two months, and I prefer these over the sr-007, lcd-2, and the HE-X. Those I drove with dedicated Dacs and Amps, like the KGSSHV for the sr-007, but I am only driving these with a Asus STX II sound card, and though I have been tempted to purchase the mojo I am...- Ampeezy

I have had my Elears for about five days now, and I have to say I like these the most of all the headphones I have owned. I really want to grab the utopia but I will supremely resist that urge, not a price I can justify at the moment. I drive them with an Asus STX II sound card, and the sound...- Ampeezy

ASUS Xonar Essence STX II
I bought my STX II from a local microcenter yesterday. It was a nightmare getting it to work but in the end I would suggest that anyone having issues has to take note of the following: 1) Disable driver signature enforcement before you install drivers. Monoprice Monolith M1060 and M560 Planar Headphones
The M1060s probably have some driver discrepancies because the sound I am currently hearing is far far from veiled. It is very detailed and balanced. Bass goes incredibly deep, but there is no mid-bass hump which people might not like as it may sound leaner. I however am able to appreciate the...- Ampeezy
