Has anyone compared them to the Sony MDR-1A? Thoughts on comfort and SQ?

How long have you had these? If you just bought them and they're defective, having to send them out for a 2-5 week repair seems ridiculous. I would just exchange them.

Anyone know when these are supposed to release in the US?

That's unfortunate. I went through like 5 1Rs due to creaking and jack rattle before giving up on them. It seems like they fixed the jack rattle with the 1A, but not the creaking. It's weird because their marketing materials go out of their way to talk about how silent the joints are, but...

Anyone know if the wireless version is significantly heavier than the wired?

Is this the Apple or Android version? It looks like only the wired-only versions on Amazon specify if they include the iOS or Android cable.   EDIT: Nevermind, it was clarified earlier in the thread that it's a plain cable with buttons on the headphone itself.

I'm thinking of getting the standard non-wireless version. Is the passive isolation enough to comfortably listen on an airplane without blasting the volume?

How bad is the cup creaking on these? I had and returned the 1R in the past because every time I'd turn my head one of the cups would creak (in addition to rattling where the cable connects into the jack).
